Fashionpedia: The Visual Dictionary of Fashion Design

Great books highly recommend for the fellow sewing enthusiasts! Absolutely love the fabric dictionary and fabric choosing guide in the Fashionpedia book. I love the detailed descriptions in the textilepedia.

I would this because I wanted to start studying fashion to be able to educate myself for my dream career. This book has all the information you need to know about the history and uses of every style and techniques used by professionals. This booms shows things from shirts, to dresses, to skirts, to vests, sweaters, patterns, textures, shoes, bags and more. It is a bit on the expensive side but I don't regret it at all. If you're into fashion you'll love this!

I bought this textbook for an online class I was taking in college, and I actually found it to be an interesting read. The diagrams are super helpful, and they give you a brief description of the history of the garments as well, which is good. I ended up becoming a marketing major myself, but I would still highly recommend Fashionpedia to anybody who is taking a fashion class and/or has an interest in the field!

A reference book to all things fashion - the names and designs of sleeves, waistline types, fashion through the decades and of different ethnicities, glove styles… you name it! Even includes info on the cuts of gemstones, bag designs, hairstyles, standard body measurements, where different fabrics are sourced, and even types of hair brushes. A fun book to just look through.

It is a complete dictionary of garments, very useful for when I was in fashion school

This book is absolutely amazing, the reviews are well deserved this will help me out immensely in my fashion journey, i couldn’t recommend this book more to those fashion driven!!!!

The chapters cover a wide range of topics that are useful for industry people, those wanting to make their own clothing and students alike. Almost everything is illustrated with drawings, diagrams, flow charts, and tables that allow for a broad understanding at a glance. The book is not text dense but has enough to explain the visuals. I bought it initially to help with my research on textile fibers and fabric manufacture and those chapters are very useful for that purpose. It's a great reference book.

Short information about history, details, accessories, etc. with differences styles of apparel with names, textiles and more. Well for me really good information and totally useful.
