Great specs on paper but disappoints in real life

My review is on the BodyBilt J2508 model. It has all the features of the J2502 except is has the #8 seat pan (minimal contouring)and the base level fabric. I purchased the J2508 from another online retailer based on a recommendation by a friend who was an occupational therapist for University of Michigan. Background: I've been searching for a good ergonomic chair for a couple of years. I've purchased and returned Herman Miller(Aeron), SteelCase (Think), Ikea (Volmar?). The Aeron seat pan placed too much pressure at the front legs due to the hammock effect, the Think has a cheap lumbar support that creates pressure points through the backrest mesh, and the Volmar broke (weld nut) during assembly. I've come to the conclusion that name brand or price is not a good indicator of comfort or quality. My experience with the Bodybilt J2508: The J2508 arrived fully assembled in a large undamaged cardboard box. My chair was shipped with the wrong seat adjustment cylinder(too small), the seat base was bent which made the whole chair tilt, and the #8 seat pan foam/material was assembled in a manner that created a tilted seat cushion. I called the online retailer and they contacted Bodybilt which is located in Texas. Bodybilt contacted me and scheduled a house call by their Northeast Region Service Manager, Marvin Edwards. After three weeks, Marvin arrived at my home with a replacement adjustment cylinder and seat base. At first inspection, Marvin found the third issue, the 'tilted' seat cushion. He replaced the cylinder and seat base and told me I'd have to wait until he could schedule another visit. After an additional month, Marvin returned with a new seat cushion and installed it. While installing it, Marvin said Bodybilt's VP wanted to see the defective seat cushion. I told Marvin how disappointed I was with this chair, he apologized but didn't offer anything for my inconvenience. A few days later, I realized Marvin used the wrong screws to attached the seat cushion to the seat base. The screws he used were at least a quarter of an inch too long and didn't secure the seat base. There's no way he didn't know he had the wrong screws but he still continued to install the seat cushion. I'm so disgusted with Bodybilt and Marvin, I've pledged to myself to tell as many people as I can to stay away from this company. My experience makes me wonder how all these defects could make it through quality inspection at their Texas assembly facility. Maybe Bodybilt ships their defective products to online retailers and leaves the rest for 'brick and mortar' stores? Maybe they're banking on you not requesting to repair the chair (BTW...it very expensive to send Marvin to repair defective chairs at each customer's home. I now realize why Bodybilt chairs cost so much, you're paying for Marvin to fix my chair). Maybe their VP is trying to turn things around but he's surrounded by people who lack attention to detail or just don't give a sh*t. Who knows and at this point I just don't care...buyer beware.Other thoughts: Make sure to include return shipping in the final price of any online chair purchase because it's cost prohibitive to return it. For almost $1000.00, the chair is just 'ok.' It's really a $500-600 chair based on comfort, ease of adjustment, and placement of controls. I'm still searching for a 'good' chair.
