How can you turn off the light so it is absolutely unnoticeable

Per the instructions, to have the blue light flash for 10 seconds then turn off while recording, set the third line in the time.txt file to 0. If an error persists (blue light stays on continuously), then 1) save the time.txt file to your computer along with any audio files you want saved, 2) reformat the device with Windows File Explorer using a FAT32 file allocation table. The device's firmware will automatically reconstruct the folder structure with the "RECORD" and "VOICE" folders the next time it turns on. Copy the time.txt file back into the "RECORD" folder, configure the settings in the time.txt file, and save the file.

can it do loop recording over old files?

No, once recorder's memory is full you will need to free up some space to be able to record again.

Does the product make any sound or emit any light when activated?

No, the device can be setup to have no lights during recording and it does not emit any sounds either.

How do I switch from voice activated to continuous?

By setting 0 instead of 1 on the second line of the set.txt file.
