Natural Care Flea & Tick Spray for Dogs, Flea & Tick Treatment, 14oz

This is an awesome product. We had battled fleas for a year as a result of cats getting out of the house and the dog regularly going out. We have a baby in the house and I hate using chemical stuff all over, and as everybody knows, if you want to get rid of fleas, you have to be prepared for an all-out war. I use this directly on the pets as ONE of the many weapons in my arsenal. In addition, I use powder on the carpets, flea drops for maintenance, a pill and brewer's yeast for the dog, weekly baths (with the shampoo that's also from this company), sprays for the furniture, lots of laundry and lots and lots of sweeping and vacuuming. There is no one product that's going to treat everything and solve your whole problem, which is what I think a lot of the negative reviews on these kind of products are expecting. You have to treat/ prevent fleas on your pets and in your home, and since your home is made up of a lot of different surfaces/ items, that requires a few products. Look at probably a $100 investment starting out and then $10-15 monthly for prevention. Enyhoo, although I'm not a fan of cloves, this isn't really an overwhelming smell. Kinda pleasant, and washing my hands right after applying means the smell doesn't stay with me. My pets have had no negative reactions, and we use it approximately every other day. I try to keep the dog occupied for a few minutes to allow the spray to dry, but she still has to groom all over once it's on her - like I said though, no negative effects from that. It's a good size container, and I like that it lets you spray sideways and upside down.

This is an instant kill it works better than the spray im pretty sure but both get the job done this one just seems to do it quicker. The only downside to this is if you have asthma be mindful please the mist realllllly gets you and I dont have asthma so I can only imagine how it may be hard for you to breath it on accident! Definitely spray in an open area if you are doing your dogs so neither or you suffocate in it! I have bought it may times over the past two years I love it!

I used to swear by this stuff for years. This spray in addition to the carpet powder worked wonders! The smell is a pleasant clove type scent. I spray furniture, bedding, rugs, the dog and sometimes myself with it. I don’t know what’s changed. Either the formula or the bugs have become immune because I had to add the harsh chemicals plus diatomaceous earth to the rotation this year to keep fleas, ticks and mosquitoes away. I’ll still use this but I won’t solely depend on it as I have in the past.

Ignore the reviews claiming this is "99% chemicals." It’s 96% water and a tiny bit of soap (SLS) to keep the peppermint and clove oils mixed. I use this as an "extra layer" when taking my dogs into the woods. My monthly drops kill the ticks that bite, but this spray keeps them from hopping on to begin with. It’s much safer than doubling up on heavy pesticides. Focus on the legs and underbelly before a hike and you’ll see way fewer hitchhikers in your house. Smells great (if you like mint) and the misting spray is super easy to apply. I’m seeing a lot of reviews calling this "false advertising" because of the ingredients, but they’re missing the point. The "scary" chemicals like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate are just soap-like surfactants to help the oils mix with water—it’s in your toothpaste and shampoo. Here is the real scoop: Don't use this as your only flea and tick protection. It’s a repellent, not a systemic medicine. I use monthly drops for the "kill" and use this spray specifically for hikes in the woods as a "shield."

My dogs almost never get fleas. This works well for the rare flea. I spray both dogs and that is end of fleas. It does not prevent but that is all needed. The sell is so nice, that the dogs do not object.

HERE WE GO! look if your using this for fleas. yes it kills on contact but then your screwed! So just bite the bullet get the pill form flea med. It’s like $23 a month but it WORKS WONDERS! However this does work on contact and is effective for that! :)

This stuff works wonders, and it lasts a long time. It is a great value for the money. Our dogs are treated for fleas and ticks, but they were still bringing in ticks after walks. I bought this stuff and have been using it ever since and I’ve not seen one tick after a dog walk. I bought it two months ago and use it on two dogs every night and I just ran out. I’m buying another one now. I am thoroughly impressed with this product and highly recommend!!

Replying to previous reviews regarding the spray top...I agree about the defective spray cap. It's horrible. However, if you snap the top off, it exposes the spray button mechanism, and that works perfectly. That being said, the product does seem to kill fleas, but only while still wet. I was not able to achieve effective flea relief without constant daily treatments.
