Guttermouths Best Album.
I really enjoy this album. I pop it in sometime for great songs. Its probably one of there only good albums. Most of there stuff is typical hardcore punk sorta. Most of it sound the same. Especially the album Musical Monkey. I bought it thinking it would be good. And it sucks. I am not kidding when i say every song sounds the same. But this album is great. Its like poppie punk, pop, techno, and its just awesome. Buy it if your a fan of Guttermouth.

Great album by guttermouth! 5/5
The critics call this album "experimental" and rate it as poor, but that is fake news! This cd is great! Yes it is a departure from their classic 90's sound, but it's fantastic front to back! It's a fun album. Good for road trip music. Worth picking up. Give it a go! Cheers-

Join Guttermouth as they re-define smart a - - punk rock
I have been extremely heavy into this band for years, and of course, own all of their previous work. Everything that they put out seems to be pure gold in my mind, that is, until the release of Covered With Ants. Which, with the exception of the song "Black Enforcers" (in my opinion, one of their most intense and power driven songs) plays like some other mainstream band trying to break into the ever popular punk scene. I don't really consider it to be a "true" Guttermouth release. That said, I wasn't sure what to expect from Gusto, but had to buy the record anyway. Unfortunately, as with most good bands, there is an eventual plateau (or recess) at which point you generally stop buying their records (if they haven't already disbanded). So upon the first spin of Gusto, my initial thought was, "I AM NOT BUYING ANY MORE OF THEIR STUFF!" But then I decided to give it another shot. And another. And pretty soon I had to stop listening to it, because I hate to wear out my favorite CD's. After hearing Gusto repeatedly, I am nothing less than thrilled with this effort. I found tracks 7, 9, and 13 to be the highlights of the disc. Obviously you shouldn't expect Musical Monkey or Friendly People, rather SOMETHING BRAND NEW from a group who (although fun, lewd, and hardcore) has up until now admittedly been more or less of a one trick pony (or donkey). Gusto is like nothing that you have heard from Guttermouth, or anyone else that I can think of. It is complete and total smart a - - (ok so you can't swear on this site) punk rock RE-WRITTEN with a bit of a poppier side from the (seemingly 12 year old) mind of Mercury Mark Adkins. Think Screeching Weasel if Ben Weasel was actually in sixth grade, instead of just trying so hard to pretend that he was. ( I put these two bands in the same vein of punk.)Anyway, I am obviously not a music critic or anything (as this is my first ever review) but I was disapointed with the overall rating of this disc and really felt the need to say something more positive about it. I think that this style of punk is a refreshing change for Guttermouth, and won't be at all surprised when lesser bands begin to jump on the meat wagon. It is a bit more polished than their previous efforts, however, this works for the type of sound that they are trying for on Gusto. In conclusion, BUY THIS FREAKIN RECORD, and give it a chance. You may be happily surprised, as I am, to own something that smells so good!
