I recommend cutting off flapper valve on silverado. Do your research tho!
Sounds awesome! My 21 silverado 5.3 is alive and rumbles like a real v8 should! I had a friend weld this on and we cut off the old muffler with the goofy flapper valve. You will not have any check engine lights or have to tune your truck! This was a lot cheaper than a $1800.00 exhaust kit. Expect to spend about 600 with install on a 5.3 silverado 5.6 ft bed. I had to buy two 3 inch to 2.75 reducers and a 3 inch pipe about 20 inches long. Obviously we had to cut this pipe to length. Was a few hours long project but if you know how to weld or know someone i recommend this purchase. I basically saved 1000.00 bucks on a borla exhaust system by purchasing just the muffler.

Best Universal Mufflers You Can Buy
These are probably the 5th and 6th Borla CrateMufflers Iโve purchased as Iโve always loved the sound of their ATAK sound level while not having drone. Iโve used these on Big Block Chevs as well as LS & LT engines and they sound great on any of them. I will typically only buy these or Spintech mufflers for my vehicles (depending on sound style I want to hear)
