I don't have any aquatic animals. I don't have a water feature. I do have 3 medium sized dogs, and this filter has been absolutely fabulous! I had bought pet water fountains for my dogs. I had to have 2 big ones because you have to wash them ALL THE TIME. Like the water under the lid gets nasty within 4 days, when you have 3 dogs. It was awful, but they loves drinking out of a fountain. One week, the filter cover broke on onw fountain. Another week the pump broke. Not wanting to pay $65 (on sale) I looked to YouTube. So, for the fountain that has a broken filter cover, I just didn't put a filter in. I didn't have the proper hose to fit this aquarium pump to the fountain spout, so I used the working pump to cycle the water to the top, for now. It has been 15 days. The water under the lid is STILL CLEAN!!! I have only addes water until today. Today, I had to clean the lid/cover because that water never tickles down below so the filter can clean it. Bonuses for using the aquarium filter as a pet water fountain cleaner: the water is actually clean, you do not have to change the filter every 4 days, the filter nor the water stink after 4 days, less cleaning to do (I will clean it all for maintenance, but not quite yet), inexpensive compared to a new pump and more filters (pet filters are 2 per week and $1 to $2 each, lest you have dirtier water). Cons, if you get the one for a 20+ gallon tank or whatever, it will be LOUD, but it does the job really well. If you turn off the air hose, it is less loud. This can also work in just a large, deep, pan for pet water, too, but my animals wouldn't drink out of it until I put the lid back on and made the water come out of the spout. (Ridiculous) For a pet water fountain, I have this in my smallest one, which is a 12 liter fountain. I will switch it over to the 16 liter pet fountain, and get the proper hosing, so this filter is filtering AND pumping. For perspective, a new pump can be $15 to $20, for a pet fountain and does not do as good of a job. Plus $20 for 10 to 12 filters that you have to replace every 4 days or so. I did not need the size of water filter I got, but I wanted to be extra sure the water stayed clean. I have not had to change the filter for 2 weeks, nor clean the fountain other than wiping the top. It looks like the filters for this filter last a LOT longer, too. Not sure when I will have to replace the filter, but it probably won't be for at least 3 months, with how well this is doing.

This is the best aquarium filter I have ever used by far. The fish likes swimming through the bubbles from the water flow output, the reusable filter easy to clean (no buying filters). Tank stays clean, even the gravel took light cleaning, crystal clear, nice upgrade from the traditional ones, highly recommended.

I had a lot of debris on the bottom of my 125 gallon fish tank with only a sponge filters and I knew I needed more water movement and filtration. This was exactly what I wanted because I didn't have room for an over the tank filter and I didn't want to pay a lot for a canister filter. Is economical and it moves water very efficiently, it actually is more powerful than I expected... I have it on the lowest setting.

I have had a 100 gallon aquarium for last 16 years. I have gone through about 6-7 filters due to hard water. This is the easiest filter to set up and clean out. No buying expensive replacement filter. Clean out takes 5 minutes in the sink. It adds a lot of air to the water and does a good job cleaning up. I have had it in for about a month now and love it. Caution- don’t buy too big for you tank. It does have a powerful jet to move a lot of water. Too much pressure in a small area can over stress your fish. Place it to one side of your tank so there are areas that don’t have strong currents to give fish a break and/or add areas(coves, plants, coral, decorations, for the fish to get out of the current. 2 month update- the suction cups suck and the filter continues to falls off and blow rocks and plants everywhere. Seems like it has lost power already and not picking up as well. We will see how long it lasts

Great power and exceeded my expectations.

So first of all, when I plugged this in, the force with which it filtered the water was enough to knock it off the wall even with all three suction cups in place. This had as much to do with the power of the pump as it did with the terrible suction cup placement, as the cups only anchor the pump, but not the filter itself. This caused the outflow tube to function as something of a jet engine, sending the whole apparatus launching into the aquarium, secured in place only by the power cord. Even closing the air valve to its lowest flow rate, this thing is WAY too powerful. The listing has it at 40 to 150 gallons. My aquarium is 75 gallons, and even submersed fully in the water, the force on this thing was so high that water coming out of the pump was spraying out aquarium and splashing on my walls. While frantically trying to remove this from my tank, the air tube fell into the tank, resulting in a "water in, water out" jet action that caused the whole filter part of the apparatus to spin violently in circles and wrap the air tube around itself. Finally, as I was removing this, the filter portion came detached, leaving the pump...gear?...exposed. This was also spinning aggressively as I hadn't yet unplugged the device. This in turn caused some pieces of the pump to fall apart in my fish tank, where they will remain until I can fish them out. And yes, I should have unplugged the pump first, but honestly the thing came apart so easily, and the pump is so aggressive, that I would be concerned that the filter could come off on its own anyway under normal operation, exposing the death gear to the fish in the tank. Oh, also, the instruction sheet is bad, even for translated instructions. Attaching some photos and videos...ignore the laughter and commentary. 0/10 would not recommend for keeping fish tank clean and health, but 10/10 provided some great slapstick comedy.

This is the best filter I’ve ever owned. I have a 75 gallon fish tank that had been without a filter for a couple of months; I put this filter in and when I woke up the next morning the fish tank looked 70% better. By night, 24 hours, my tank was crystal clear and the fishes had the zoomies! The water flow is pretty high even when adjusted on low but it’s a solid 10/10 and the best part is that you don’t hear it running. I’ve owned quite a few fish tank filters and this one beats the others in price, quality, and maintenance! Highly recommend.

The pump is no louder than my Aqueon without the rattling lid from time to time and it is wonderful not having to change filters so much. I have a 55 gallon aquarium and was looking fir something slim that won't sound like Niagara Falls when the water level drops . 4 inches. It's only loud when you open the air flow nozzle so I keep it off. At first I loved the way the plants swayed with the water, but I've realized the fish are hovering close to the filter cause it's where the current is weaker. I got the 40 to 150 gallon punp and idk how this is, supposed to cover that wide if a gallon range. This should only be for a 100 to 150 gallon tank. Luckily I got the next size, down for my 40 gallon aquarium so I'm going to use that one instead. I was hoping there would be a flow adjustment but it doesn't. It actually ripped one of my plants from the gravel substrate.

Not Working - Used Product

This thing is a powerhouse. It gets the job DONE. Taking it apart to service it is incredibly easy, too. Yes, it's a bit loud but with how much water it moves that's not surprising. And at this price I think it's well worth it, it's an absolute beast!!

Holy smokes, for once the advertised flow rate was legitimate, insane power. This has got to be the best bang for your buck in terms of flow rate and filtration capability. Do not put this in a 40 gal unless youre trying to simulate white water rapids, the flow rate is not adjustable. Love this thing.

This pump is very powerful. A little too powerful for my 40 gallon tank. But it keeps the tank clean and clear. The fish usually avoid that side of the tank, unless they’re feeling like a joy ride. Every now and then they have fun playing in the powerful water output. They swim into it, which sends them flying and then swim back and go for another ride. It also shoots my live plants around, which I don’t love. I plan to try to diffuse the water output and see if I can aim it to cause less stress on my plants. I will likely add it to my 75 gallon tank in the future and get something a little less powerful for my 40 gallon. But for now it’s doing its job.
