Did anyone else have a hard time opening the remote to put the batteries in? The tiny screwdriver did not help us.

We just used a bigger screwdriver we had at opened, opened easily

do the hands and head move by remote also?

No, they do not. Only back/forth and right/left.

Are the building blocks compatible with legos?

Pieces are similar, but not compatible.

We are missing a piece - can I somehow get a replacement piece?

Again the manufacturer would be able to assist you.
