Great cough gels, much more convenient than having to take the liquid and could be carried in a purse or backpack. Highly recommend them they seem to work better than anything else and we don’t like cough syrup that has a decongestant in it and these don’t. This is the only kind of cough syrup we keep in the house. This brand was really good, and a lot cheaper than the name brand

This really seems to help me not to cough hard. It allows the sputum to come up naturally via the ciliated pseudostratified columnar cells. I asked ChatGPT how dextromethorphan works. Per ChatGPT: "Coughing is controlled by a region in the brainstem. Dextromethorphan raises the threshold for triggering a cough. In simple terms: it makes your brain less likely to send the signal “cough now.”
