Massive PITA to use, but works on Linux (libfprint)
IMPORTANT TO USE WITH LINUX:Read iafilatov's github readme for libfprint#common-problems to understand how the device works.tl;dr This is a very finicky swipe reader, and will fail if you use it like a touch fingerprint sensor.The good:- Works on linux. The unit is actually a branded Elantech fingerprint reader that is supported by libfprint- Device ID: 04f3:0c3d Elan Microelectronics Corp. ELAN:Fingerprint- Once you learn how to use it, it works most of the time.The bad:- Registration instructions are garbage/non-existant, read the docs recommended above- Process, usage is unintuitive- Swiping requires you to move painfully slowly, is not forgiving for irregular speed- Matching is inconsistent if you don't memorize the swipe rate

Works like a charm !!
All i had to do was plug it in and register fingerprints on windows hello sign in. Works flawlessly and very responsively. Btw using it on windows 11.

Super Easy to Install, Train and Use
Very pleased with how easy and fast it is to install this reader. Plugged it into an open USB port and navigated to Settings and Sign-in Options. While doing this noted that system sent a message that it saw a new device and was setting it up. Shortly after, system advised that device was ready. Sign-in options stated that a finger-print scanner was there and ready to go. Followed the screen prompts, entering one-finger from each hand, and then a second user doing the same. Signed out by restarting and Bob's Your Uncle, it worked flawlessly. Very simple to add, easy to use, and worked without a hitch.

Worked perfectly with Windows 11
I replaced a fingerprint reader that did not work well after upgrading to Windows 11. Windows 11 found a driver, but it still didn't work. Finally let CCleaner find the driver and it worked but not well so I was skeptical when shopping. for a replacement. I plugged the BENSS reader in and POW. It works perfectly and FAST. Glad I found this.
