Is this really low FODMAP with no onion or garlic?

Yes. We leave out the high-FODMAP bulbs of onion and garlic (where the fructans concentrate) and use the low-FODMAP green tops of scallions and leeks, plus chives, for allium flavor.

Why is it unsalted — will it taste bland?

It's unsalted on purpose so you can control the seasoning. Add salt to taste and it comes alive as a sipping broth or a base for soups, gravy and grains.

What are the health benefits?

It's a real bone broth — about 50% of the recipe by weight is bone — with roughly 8g of protein per 1-cup serving plus naturally occurring collagen. Organic, no sugar, no fillers, no additives.

How do I store it, and can I freeze leftovers?

It's shelf-stable for about 1-2 years unopened. Once opened, refrigerate and use within about 5 days, or freeze the rest in a freezer-safe container for months.

Can I give it to my dog?

We don't recommend it for pets. It contains greens from the allium family (scallion and leek tops, chives), which aren't advised for dogs or cats even in low-FODMAP amounts. Please check with your vet.
