HOMESTAR Finch 6 Drawer Dresser, 54.5" x 15.63" x 28", Walnut

Like many other reviewers, I'm fed up with the drawers that get stuck. They're not just "sticky" and using oil like another reviewer tried will not help. I believe it's a design flaw which should be easy to fix: There's a metal tab on the rail that attaches to the drawer and it's near the front. It sticks out almost like it's SUPPOSED to catch something on the corresponding side and lock it closed (I'm not going to disassemble mine again just to see how it works). I assume this is to keep the drawers closed when not in use if your floor isn't level or something. I'm planning on taking a Dremel tool and cutting off that tab or substantially shortening it. I won't know if it definitely worked for several months because they don't stick that often for me, at least not reliably. For the money I'm still pleased with the purchase, especially if my drawer fix works. I like the look of the dresser and it's quite sturdy. Although note that I put together all my cheapo furniture with wood glue which makes it MUCH more sturdy.

Is zero stars possible? This is by far the worst thing I've ever ordered from Amazon. The drawers get stuck, don't work, and fall apart. I currently have some of my clothes being held hostage by one particular drawer that suddenly refuses to open. Another drawer refuses to close, and one disintegrated all together in its very first week of operation (side ripped trying to pull it out, bottom won't stay). This thing is not worth even a second of consideration. Save yourself some cash and major frustration and don't buy it.

I love the finished product but it was not easy to put together.

Overall the experience has been very good with the product, I have it now for almost 2 weeks with me. I would say it's a good value for money, definitely a good deal vs the other $150 dresses. I will put down the pros and cons of this product First the Pros: - It has metal ball bearing slides vs the plastic slides that i saw in some of the dresser (even some $150 ones) - The package came without any damage. - I found it sturdy, the board quality if pretty good for the price. - The look of the product is very nice - The drawers, if installed correctly, slide smoothly. Definitely better than Ikea dresser which is for ~$150. Now the Cons: - It took me almost 6 hrs to assemble( including a break) by myself ( might be faster with two people). The instructions are OK, you need lots of patience. - Some of the slides had different orientation (the slide direction was opposite), however, it's an easy fix and this took some time for me to figure out. You can also google it. Even after complete assembly if the drawer was pushed harder the slides got locked and I had to open the drawer above it in order to fix the below one. It happened just once though. I recommend not banging the drawer into the slot. - The drawer base and the sides could have been of better quality but then for $100, i think it's ok. This dresser is good for clothes not for heavy stuff. Overall, it's a good buy if you are willing to spare half of your Saturday to assembly it. I recommend reading the instructions carefully before assembling.

The quality is fine and I really like this dresser but the smell is awful! Terrible fumes coming from the particle board causing headache, burning eyes and scratchy throat. I am hoping they dissipate soon or this will be going back - there is no way I can put this in a bedroom with these fumes! Also, missing 8 of the screws needed for assembly. I called the company yesterday, no answer. Called again a couple of hours later and after it rang about 20 times I got "Sarah's" voicemail. I left my name and phone number and asked for a return call as I was missing parts. I have still not received a return phone call. I went to their Website today and requested the missing parts and when I submitted the request, I was told I would get an email confirmation shortly. That was 8 hours ago and still no confirmation. So far, not real pleased with this company.

Cheapest glides I ever seen. After assembly you have you yank on drawers to get them to open. Slides are sticky to the point they need oil and still they stick. I purchased two of these. After 1st one assembled I looked online for new slides to use with the 2nd one as they are truly poor quality. Nice looking dresser but if one can't open drawers with ease.. I doubt it will last and drawer fronts will just end up pulling off due to being yanked on just to open

Direction are bit confusing yes it does have a funky smell for about 2 weeks it kinda goes away. If you close the draws a bit hard they get stuck and have to pry them to a side to get them.open again wouldn't buy this item again

I’m very upset with this purchase! I love the style and design but it took forever to receive! The box was damaged and many of the parts were ruined! So disappointed coz I have no way of returning it 🤬 I should have listened to all the reviews because this is a waste of money and a peace of crap! I think I would have been better going to a yard sale and gotten something better then this 😒!
