The packaging does not say. It says, "Man made pumice." Made in Poland. All I know is that it works beautifully. I have NEVER had smooth feet-I go barefoot every minute I can. This product is amazing.

do you clean it after each use? and how?

Yes absolutely clean it after each use. I wash it under hot soapy water.

Since it crumbles as you use it, I'm concerned about what's going down my drain. What is this stuff, and is it going to hurt the plumbing?

Only tiny pieces crumble off in the shower when you use them. Considering the size of drain pipes, I don't think the pieces are big enough to clog anything. They don't stick together so they should pass right on through.

Details says 5x2x5 - doesn't match the photo; is it 5x2x5 for all 4 stones combined? Description says 4". What are real dimensions?

One stone is 4"L x 2"W x 1"D. All 4 stones measure 4x2x4. 5x2x5 is incorrect... This msmt was probably for a previous pack of 5 and wasn't changed when it became a pack of 4. My theory anyway....
