My First Book of Tagalog Words: Filipino Rhymes and Verses

Worth the money and a pretty funny book. We got the hardcover and the quality is really good.

Great resource especially for my kids who were born abroad. We wanted a book which had the basic Tagalog words.

Our baby is born American, but we would like her to be fully immersed in our Filipino culture, starting with the language. This is perfect! The graphics are great, baby loves the colors too! Just wish that it wouldnt be too gender (male)-specific...."my son", "he", etc. But no big deal, I just translate into a female version. I am buying more Filipino books!

I bought this to help my new Filipino student feel more at home in the U.S. He loved it and loved sharing about his culture using the words, pictures and rhymes. He even borrowed it to share with his class. He is currently in 4th grade.

This is a super cute book, the only thing I would add is adding how to pronounce the words correctly so that as I'm reading it to my baby I'm also saying the words correctly as I am not Filipino but my child is.

I purchased this book for my grandson. He is only four and one half months old. When I gave the book to my grandson's parents they were thrilled. Many of the Fliipino people speak both English and Tagalog. The parents read this book to their son. He will be hearing the Tagalog words and will have a good start to becoming familiar with the Filipino Words. I will also be looking at Amazon for other books of this type. Even I can remember some of the Tagalog words.

I love the illustration and quality of this book. Like others have said, the choice of words for some letters could have been better but overall it was a great purchase. Can’t wait for my son to learn about his culture!

Good value product for child

It’s not like a full book that you might need. It just a few words a small boy tells you that I call this in Tagalog this.

I bought the book for my kids as Tagalog is my mother tongue. Fun pictures but selection of Example Tagalog words could be better.

Yes !... along with other increasingly complicated books, I am beginning to memorise Tagalog words and understand a challenging language. I enjoy the bold print and the illustrations in the book.When my Filipino branch of our family come I know my grandsons will love this book. Thank you for this lovely edition!
