Mathematics Common Core Grade 7 (Holt McDougal Mathematics)

Used textbooks can be a grab bag, and you're never sure what you're going to get. This one is working very well for my 11 year old. It starts with a section on what you need to know before going forward, which is handy because not everyone has learned the same skills in the same order. It gave us a chance to review before we jumped in. Each lesson explains key concepts well, and there's just the right amount of problems to practice. There are "ready to go on?" quizzes that provide stopping points to see if anything isn't quite clicking. Also, the glossary at the back is perfect and it's helping my child use her own resources and not feel lost! I bought an accompanying workbook that has practice for each lesson, laid out in the same order as the book.

I do homeschooling and I purchased this text book for my son. It has the lesson plan, Exercises, at the end of each chapter it has a practice test and test prep. Only odd # answers are found in the back of the book. Saving this text book for my daughter.
