Thick, smoky smell, soothing to skin
Bought 2 kinds of pine-tar body washes & shampoos for super-dry-skin & psoriasis. The Packer's is nice & thick, lather's up well & doesn't further dry out the skin. Smells strongly of a camp fire while using but scent rinses off so you don't reek of it afterwards. Would buy again.

I've come to like this stuff
I needed a shampoo for my psoriasis now that Neutrogena T/Gel is no longer being made, so I gave this pine tar stuff a go. Well, I'll say this, it doesn't make my psoriasis any better, nor does it make it worse, so that's good. It does leave a bit of an oily-smooth feeling sheen on my skin though. I'll get used to that, I suppose. The one caveat I do have is that the scent of this stuff smells a lot like the cleaner, Pine-Sol. So much so that I'm tempted to get some Pine-Sol and do a side-by-side comparison. Kind of annoying, kind if not. I haven't decided yet. Edit 6/8/25: After using the Packers bodywash for the last few months I've come to like it. Why? I have very fine straight hair that I'm trying to grow long, and it gets tangled easily, leaving my hairbrush with a mass of torn out hair over time. I've been using the body wash also as a shampoo and now my hair brushes out easily, and actually seems fuller. My psoriasis seems better too (a BIG plus). So, I'm going to keep on using it (I've repurchased twice). Oh, the scent has grown on me, and yes, I actually did compare the scent to Pine-Sol, and the Packers is VERY pleasant compared to Pine-Sol.

Great Quality and Value
This wash has a really nice, smoky pine scent. And it's a good value, also. Because all it takes is a small amount on your shower loofah and you're good to go. This bottle will last you many weeks. And I've noticed that mosquitos seem to bother me less, after I've showered with this.

Updated: Great soap leaves skin soft. But scent is earthy and may not be for everyone.
**Update: After a couple of uses I can smeel the Pine after all. And the smell isn't as bad as I first thought. Again it still may not be for everyone. It has a earthy, outdoorsy scent. And I do appreciate the compliments of the scents. My first initial thought was based on the fact I wanted Pine Tar scent. And this soap was a combination of other scents as well. I think this will vary between users too. As everyone smells differently. I gave it a 4 Star from a 2 Star. Only reason I didn't give it a 5. Is the fact the scent doesn't last as long as I would have hoped. *Old review: I don't smell any Pine, which is a shame. It has a very outdoorsy moist smell. Like cracking the stems open on some weeds or flowers. Mixed with some outdoorsy hints. But no Pine at all. And I hate the smell. I tried, I really did but I hate it. It does moisturize your skin and it's a bang for your buck. That's if you can stand the smell. Plus the Line, yes I'm mentioning it again. The bottle boldy says PINE TAR and I don't smell any. If it had some, then maybe. A big maybe though not sure on that.

Great soap after working outside in the woods and has a very pleasant strong smell.
I love this soapโฆespecially in the warmer monthsโฆafter working outside where there are ticks, bugsโฆetc. Really makes you feel clean and from what I understandโฆbugs donโt like it so thatโs a good feelingโฆconsidering all that while the smell is strongโฆit is pleasant and not offensive and I even like how it smells (pine tar smells much better than coal tar).

Smells great, cleans well, but won't rinse off.
This has a very strong smoky aroma, which I really enjoy. It also goes a long way. Just a little on my loufa brush covers my whole body. The problem is that it leaves behind a slimy film that is very difficult to rinse away. I found myself following it up with another soap to remove the film, which kind of defeats the purpose.

Differentโฆand I like it.
OK, stick with me here. This is a great body soap. It has a woodsy, fresh, and slightly smoky scent. If you are looking for a fake perfumie scent this might not be for you. This scent is fresh meaning meaning natural (pine, resin, woodsy, earthy). Delivers a great lather and leaves you clean. Solid price point, made in the USA, clean ingredients. Give is a shot.

Great all natural soap
Very soothing. A little produces a lot of lather. The scent is different. Some may not like it at first. I found it crisp yet comfortable

Great shampoo too!
I love this! I love the smell and the feel of it. I had a scalp problem that I could not fix with any of the medicated shampoos - two shampoos with this pine tar cured my scalp! My hair seems fine with it as a shampoo. It seems expensive, but it is thick, concentrated, and should last a long time.

Different from bar but still nice.
Scent reminds me of PineSol, less smoky and tarry smelling than the bar. I like to use both in the shower. If I'm honest I like the bar a bit more. I wish this smelled like the bar, little more smoky. But it's still good and pine-fresh in its own right. Slightly different than expected but a good product nonetheless

Comforting smell
Due to occasional excema and skin flare-ups, I've used pine tar soap since I was a young child. I like to keep it on hand to soothe my skin as needed. This time I purchased the liquid and was a bit disappointed to find it had leaked a small amount in the packaging, the foil seal was open/or slipped off, however since I had run out of the bar soap, I didn't bother contacting the seller. I would hope this doesn't happen with my next purchase. In my opinion, now that I've bought the liquid, I would choose it again since one doesn't waste as much soap as a bar does, therefore it lasts longer. Lastly, when one finds relief from a body soap, one looks forward to the smell of pine..I still don't understand why it is marketted for men when it is good for everyone, no matter what gender or age..

Unique
Unique smell, it's ok, don't know what I was expecting, but I'd say I'm about 2/3rds satisfied reflected in my star rating. I wouldn't say it's a pine smell at all, or that it's a fresh clean smell, but it is a manly smell.
