Royal Harvest Nature's Maraschino Cherries With Stems, 72 Ounce

Where to start? If you don't want to read a long review, the short version is that I didn't even know Maraschino cherries could be this good. I use Maraschino cherries in my holiday baking every year, and I usually buy many jars. This year, I was trying to take out some of the extra legwork so I decided to buy a larger container from an online retailer instead of hoping my local supermarket has enough of the smaller jars in stock when I finally get around to buying them. I've always purchased the bright red ones that you buy at a regular grocery store -- you know, the ones that seem to be more candy than cherry. I chose this particular brand because of the reviews saying how good they tasted. That is no joke. These cherries are legit: they are the best maraschino cherries I have ever tasted. (I didn't even know maraschino cherries could taste like this!) I ran out because my kids and I kept nibbling on them -- I ended up having to order more, but had to buy a different brand because of availability. The other brand was just ... nothing like these. It was a let down to not have these for the last half of my baking efforts. I would never have thought that that maraschino cherries would ever be a thing of discriminating taste? Afterall, aren't they just sugar bombs waiting to happen? But ... well. I was wrong. Royal Harvest Nature's Maraschino Cherries retain the cherry. Anytime I need maraschino cherries, these will be my first choice. Also, I'm going to be looking at other products this brand makes. If they are anything like the cherries, they will be top drawer. Kudos to Nature's Harvest and THANK YOU.

Got these and was extremely disappointed!! Nothing like the pictures at all. Looked opaque in color and didn’t like the taste. Also found several rotten cherries as well. For the cost of these I would not purchase them again!! I don’t like leaving a bad review but felt this time I had to.

I was looking for cherries that weren't dyed with toxic artificial Red Dye and made with corn syrup and came across these little gems. Being that these are dyed with fruit juice only and are a dull red in color my daughters were a tad hesitant that they would be as good as the BRIGHT florescent red cherries found at restaurants, but they were shocked when they tried them. They taste EXACTLY the same with the same crunchy, firm texture. Only con is that they are quite pricey even for the large jar they come in. I would love to see this jar priced at half of what it is. Also, one more issue I have with them is that without the red dye and corn syrup making your stomach ache afterwards its easier to over indulge. I could easily eat the entire jar in a day. This jar won't last too long in my house. GREAT PRODUCT!

They are a brownish color and have an odd taste. My family, and I, veto this product.

These go very well in a mixed drink. They have great texture and flavor - most others are either very hard, or too mushy; we've tried just about every brand available. They have stems, so easy to pull out to eat. The syrup is also very good in the drinks. They last for 2 months in the refrigerator, maybe more - we always eat them all before that. Price is great, and it's convenient to just order them instead of running all over town for a specialty item like this. The container is quite large. When it's half empty, we transfer the remainder to a quart mason jar to save space in the fridge. One could do that right from the start.

I accidentally purchased these cherries instead of the Members Mark brand commonly associated with Sams Warehouse that I previously bought. These cherries were a dull off-red color more like the color of an apple rather than the bright red similar to a stop sign. I prefer the brighter cherries, and the Members Mark brand is the same size and quantity but currently $4 cheaper. The taste and freshness were good and as far as i know these off-color cherries might have even been more natural with less artificial coloring. So a good overall rating even though they are not my favorite.

The size of the container is as described. I have purchased these two times the first time I got what I ordered of delicious locally harvested no dye cherries in October. They had stems and my customers loved them. They are more expensive than the gross cherries but worth it. My second delivery they sent me awful 3/4 no stem full of dye cherries. When contacted I was told I could not return, exchange or get a refund. Buyer beware of inconsistency and toxic ingredients.

I make chocolate covered cherries for Christmas every year. I gave Royal Harvest a try and they did not disappoint! The stems are strong; I found very little stem free cherries. They taste great with no artificial ingredients. They didn’t stain my hands like other cherries do. They are not as bright of a red (due to the lack of red dye #40) but that didn’t matter to me. I will definitely buy again next year!!
