Jane by Design: Volume One

OK. 'Devil wears Prada meets YA highschool sitcom' may make a great 'elevator pitch', this series has heart. However cliched the characters, they're genuine to the writers. (What ARE clichés but situations SO common & reoccurring that they become tropes?)This series is fun and comfortable (not inherently a BAD thing) and all the characters are ideally cast.My only regret is that the 'powers that be' never saw fit to carry this on - since I think there was more to expound upon.To cast, crew & creators: "Well done!". ....for as long as you were allowed.

I occasionally just load up Jane By Design and watch it again! It's about a teenager who gets launched into a career as an assistant to a demanding Designer Head while still attending High School. It should be rated R because of the few scenes involving teenagers engaged in sex... but no nudity. The situations and challenges that Jane faces are quite interesting and are over her head, but she always manages to make it through.

Love this show a lot! I didn't think I would be hook after watching episode 1 but I did. This show did made me want to continue watching even though I watched it many years ago.I like the chemistry between the casts in the show and also the clothes they wear are all so nice. I love Andie Macdowell's character the most in the show. Andie herself is so classy and elegant. :)

Will Jane and Billy ever realize their attraction to each other beneath the feelings of their decade-long friendship?We spent a pleasurable season wondering, hoping, planning, imagining, and now where are we? Waiting for the second season that will never come. I'm sorry it took so long to discover the existence of 'Jane By Design.' It's one of the better teen television series I've seen. I'm no teen! Yet, I still found myself binge-watching because I was sure I knew where the office intrigues were headed and the fates of the young loves at the high school.Now, I'll never know. Better to have watched and wondered than to never have watched at all - or something to that effect!

Love this show! So wish it was still on the air! Such sweet characters and fun situations and CLOTHES. This show has it all, drama, humor and romance, awesome fashion, travel and hot guys! Erica Dasher is a fantastic actress. So relatable, I just adore her! She's GORGEOUS but doesn't inspire jealousy or make me envious of her beauty. She's like someone you want to be friends with. I was disappointed the DVD doesn't include all the episodes but I now have access to the rest online through Instant Video for free since purchasing the video

Loved this - wish they made a season 2.

This show should have been on the air for at least 4 seasons. It's so cute. I wish that they'd release part 2 on DVD as well. Jane Quimby is a high schooler by day and P.A. to a high powered fashion house by afternoon - in a series of misunderstandings she lands a dream job. Seriously this show was just really neat.

Compré el DVD de un vendedor de Reino Unido pensando que no habría problema de visualización ya que Europa tiene el mismo código regional. Pues bien, el código del producto era el de Estados Unidos por lo que no era compatible con mi reproductor. Lo único bueno por lo que no les pongo una estrella es porque que me gestionaron la devolución sin problemas y haciéndose cargo también de los gastos de envío (los cuales eran bastante elevados).

I was amazed at how fast i got this DVD and I live across the pond so, getting it this fast in the UK I would say AWESOME. it was well secure and safe when it got here. So 5 star rating posted. This person gets a 100% recommendation from me...
