Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus, Outdoor home or business security with motion-activated 1080p HD video and floodlights, Black

I’m very happy with this floodlight camera. The installation process was straightforward, and the setup through the app was quick and easy. The video quality is sharp during both the day and night, and the motion detection alerts are accurate and reliable. The floodlights are bright and provide excellent visibility around my home. I also like being able to monitor everything remotely from my phone, which gives me extra peace of mind. Overall, this is a great security camera with excellent performance and value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to improve their home security.

I should have taken photos of the little things that made installing this product so easy. Granted I was replacing old flood lights so I had it easy to begin with but the Ring came with a lanyard that clipped on so the unit was held in place while wiring it. It came with the right size wiring nuts but most importantly it came with a multi tool flat head screwdriver for disconnecting my old unit which had plug in grille electrical connections. The Ring is just simple wire nuts. It has the Phillips head tool for a couple of different screws needed. IT has small white acorn nuts and at first I was stressed about having to get down off the ladder to find a small enough nut driver then I thought I bet they thought of it and sure enough just remove the metal driver and there it is at the end. Really easy all the way around. Just well designed. Getting it up was. Shortly harder trying to get to the QR code with my camera but flipping the camera over gave me access to it. Love it so far!

I bought two of these at the same time. The first one took me 30 minutes to install because what greeted me under the existing setup wasn’t what I’d expected and it took a bit of hood ingenuity to overcome the ingenuity of the guy who installed the light before. The second one was maybe a fifteen minute install. I recommend you have some wire strippers/cutters handy if you’re replacing something, but otherwise, it’s really easy. As far as the AI thing goes, I had two ring doorbells before I installed these lights and they just kept telling me someone was at the door. I didn’t realize they’d updated the app with AI descriptions of what was happening outside until I installed these guys. Some of the descriptions are creative, inventive, and hilarious. I almost fell out of my chair the first time it told me that a brown squirrel was walking along the railing of my deck. Also, it doesn’t really seem to know the difference between cats and dogs, but sometimes it lets me know my neighbor is walking her huskies again by telling me that someone is on the sidewalk walking a husky and a dog. Anyway, endless amusement there. They’re definitely worth the money.

Liked and would recommend. Item arrived on time and tech I hired said it fit well & was not difficult to install. FloodlightCam was Installed 2 months ago and still working well outdoors on a pole connected via wifi indoor. Only electrical connection was needed. No network cable was needed. Floodlights levels can be adjusted and scheduled (I chose dusk-to-dawn). Ring App installed on phone was easy and works well with other Ring FloodCam and Ring Doorbell. My wife and I get notified of motion anywhere we are in the world. I like the 2-way talk feature on all Ring devices. I also like feature that announces "Hi, you are currently being recorded" when it detects motion. Not entirely fond that it is seemingly locked to Ring brand device family & $ubscription-Connecting to my home NVR was not possible, and if not ONVIF compatible, is user-hostile to anything "non-Ring". Despite above, still Glad I made purchase and now have Ring FloodlightCams in both front and back of my home as well as Ring Doorbell, and am enjoying greater security having them. Still would recommend.

Most people are already familiar with Ring products, and these did not disappoint. The cameras and floodlights work great, the motion detection is reliable, and the video quality is very clear. We liked them enough that we bought three of them. Overall, a great option for home or business security.

I researched floodlights/camera combos with hard wire to replace my existing old motion, detection light, and took a chance on this one. I always read the reviews, which is why I decided to leave one. Highly recommended product. Easy to install if you have an existing light. After I downloaded the app and connected it to Wi-Fi, which was easier than expected I got a month of free recording of videos and motion detection. I ordered the doorbell cameras so that I can have all three and I’m going to get a subscription for the live and passed history recording. So far so good after about a month. Again highly recommended.
