Works Really Well!!
This is a GREAT interactive toy for your dog to keep them happy for a while. We fill up the sections with little treats for our pure bred Toy Poodle, and another interactive toy which he has to push over to release small treats whenever we have to go out, as he looks SO sad when we are getting ready to leave :(He knows that we are going out, and dogs are SO clever....but they all just want to be with their "pack" all the time, and they get sad when they are left alone. That is natural, so this type of interactive toy will occupy them for at least some of the time while you are gone. Highly recommend this item.

Good fun
My dog loves this puzzle. It is a little tricky at first, but she gets it after some practice. If I don't use it for a while, she forgets how it works...that could be a good thing if she needs a 'new' challenge. It gets a little slobbery, but wiping it with a damp cloth would work just fine. It is a good way to entertain your dog besides physical exercise. I always supervise my dog when I put it out for her.

Great for cats!
I was worried that this would be hard for a cat (stiff/tight pieces hard to slide) but the sliding pieces glide very easily and the little liftable caps are easy to maneuver too. A small handful of temptations keeps the cat busy and it's great enrichment for an indoor kitty.One thing though: the puzzle is very light weight so it can be turned over easily. I like to watch her think and problem solve so I don't mind supervising and making sure the puzzle doesn't flip over. But if that's annoying for you, you might want to pick a different puzzle.I always say my cat's a scholar & i think she's a genius (bragging), but even if your cat doesn't have a single thought behind their eyes, I think this is still a good option. The learning curve doesn't seem to be too steep. But it's probably a good idea to show the cat how to use it first.This is a really solid, simple, affordable puzzle feeder for cats.
