The only downside that I see is that the view is quite small. So, it is good for parking or other safe situations but not so much helpful on the highways. The distant cars are barely visible.

I have these on my 2007 Mazda MX-5, 2014 Ford Taurus and 2015 Ford Edge and love them. I wasn't sure how well these were going to work on my 2021 Ford Mustang since it has relatively small mirrors, but they fit rather well. Not only do they still allow quite a lot of the factory mirror to be seen, but they also don't totally block the factory blind slot indicator when positioned all the way to the outside bottom position. The one drawback is they create some wind noise since the car mirror housing doesn't have much of a lip to block the wind and it gets in behind the spot mirror lens and whistles, but it's kind of faint and only hear it every now and then with the windows/top down, but the stereo easily helps eliminate that! They have been on the car for nearly 5 months/7000 miles, have been through all kinds of weather and still holding on strong and still holding their set position.
