Today, after received my AG-5500, I immediately put it to test. I purchase this juicer mainly for the purpose to generate more juice from carrots than my Omega NC800 juicer. Here are the results from the testing: 1) 5 lbs of cleaned and precut carrots for both Omega NC800 and AG-5500; 2) Omega NC800 generated 25oz juice, AG5500 can generate 41oz; 3) Omega NC800 is easy to feed and operate. AG-5500 is very difficult to feed, you need to feed a little bit by little bit and push hard, very time consuming. 4) The pulp generated by Omega NC800 weighs 1468g while the pulp generated by AG-5500 only weighs 910g; 5) I fed the pulp generated from Omega NC800 in step 2) to AG-5500, it ran very smoothly and generated another 25oz of juice and the generated pulp this time is very dry. 6) fed the pulp generated by AG-5500 in step 2) back to AG-5500, it generated another 16oz of juice. Angel Juicer can generate more juice than most of the juicers on the market, but it is very difficult to feed this juicer. Here is my solution: 1) I will get a hopper juicer with large feed chute to work with my Angel Juicer, let this hopper juicer preprocess the produce; 2) Then feed the pulp generated from hopper juicer to Angel Juicer. This way we can get more juice with Angel Juicer and let hopper Juicer take care the produce feed difficulty with Angel Juicer.

I can't believe I have not reviewed this product before. We purchased this juicer nearly 10 years ago directly from Angel Juicer and could not be happier with our purchase. After blowing through 2 other masticating juicers, we were in need of a juicer that extracted more juice from the produce and one that didn't have all these plastic parts. We did our research and landed on the Angel Juicer 5500. It is a workhorse and will not disappoint. So much quieter than the others, too! We were able to extract so much more juice in less time which resulted in drier pulp, less waste, less produce and massive cost savings on our grocery bill. We use the standard housing unit for all our produce. While soft fruit sometimes takes a lot longer to juice, such as pineapple and mangos, it gets the job done. Finally after 10 years we just purchased the soft fruit housing unit and cannot wait to try it. I also have to praise the quality of this machine. When we are juice fasting, we use this juicer every day for 60 days straight to make anywhere from 170 to 204 oz. of juice daily. Takes us about 2 hours to make a full days worth of juice, plus extra for 2 people. Sounds like a lot, but it was taking us a lot longer to juice the same amount using the Omega and Breville. This machine is a work horse and gets the job done. Aside from having to purchase a new cleaning brush and the rubber rings for the housing unit and wooden plunger, we have not had any mechanical issues. We just now had to replace one rubber foot but that's it. This is a fantastic juicer and well worth the price.

Started using the juicer on a daily basis and 3 months later something is very wrong with it and I'll have to either buy another or wait for weeks to get replacement parts etc without being able to juice and I'm on a medical program that requires juicing daily. Ugh! I am so disappointed that an expensive heavy duty machine would have major issues 3 months out. Never again!

great for carrot juice, glad i bought it, it does take some time to clean but its worth it.? i would still buy it if i had to do it over again. the only thing i dont like is cleaning.

It’s okay for vegetables juice but I used the pineapple it’s not worked and don’t bay if you don’t like it and itam It’s refund so loose your money $250
