Will it measure the exterior side wall of a home in sunlight?

Despite manufacturers claims it has a maximum distance of 32 ft outside. Whether or not you can actually measure anything outside is doubtful

Does it display metric?

Yes, does metric An excellent product

With the rounding button will it give you the next size to the 1/16th instead of a 1/32? My trade doesn’t use 1/32s

That’s why I bought this, because I wanted to round to 1/8” or 1/4”. But honestly haven’t even had to use the rounding button because you can set the accuracy of the measurement to 1/8” so rounding hasn’t been necessary.
