Wow!! What a difference this made in our goldfish pond. After comparing other models and reading reviews this one is it! Our pond is in sun all day. It cleared our murky pond within 5 days. Now you can see all the way to the bottom of our 3 foot pond. The product is also very well made and sturdy.

Always had an algae issue with my hundred gallon tank, added it to the filtration system and now my algae issue has cleared up. Had to get some extra fittings because the hose sizes between my filter and the UV light were very different. I also sealed each connection with aquarium grade silicon.

Esy to install go to be carefully that your hoses are tight to avoid leaks it's working 24hrs but I don't see it cleaning the agie of the pond it's bee 3months and still greenish can't sew the botoms or the fish. Pond size 17 ft long by 10 wide 2ft deep

Set up a new goldfish pond last year and could never get rid of green algae, causing alot of frustration in watching and enjoying my fish. Pond is 6' x 10' and no amount of algaecide helped. Bought this UV filter after opening my pond this year and seeing more algae blooms. I work in the industrial "water business", so very familiar with UV technology. I intentionally bought a unit oversized for my pond, as I get direct sunlight almost all day and it was the right move! Green algae bloom was gone in a week and after 4 weeks, the water is clear enough to see to the bottom and getting better every day. Best suggestion for others - DON'T UNDERSIZE! (and match your pump flow to the UV size). Wish I would have done this sooner!

This is the 4th one of these that Ive ordered, the first one only lasted a few hrs (~5) then bulb went out. Returned and got a second one, this one the UV never came on. Ordered a 3rd item, received a smaller unit (not what ordered. The light was green, not blue like the first. It has no effect on the algae. Now have the fourth unit and it is a green light that has no effect on the algae. All in all I've ordered Four of these units and not one had worked have worked. Do not waste your money on these units, none work!!!!!!!

Not only does this work but I made a mistake (even though I had it covered with a fake rock) and left it outside for the winter. The water in the tube froze and then shattered the glass inside of it and breaking the outside seal. I called the seller and asked him to send me the parts and I would pay for it. He sent me a new one instead and said it was ok and I did not have to pay for it. WOW! A++, the fault was all mine and they still came out on top

I purchased this UV in 2018 for a new pond and always wondered if it was really working as there was still algae in my pond every year. This year (2024) I hooked everything up and my pond water became very green over the next couple of weeks. Finally, I realized I'd forgotten to plug the UV light in during the install. Once I plugged it in, the water cleared over the next week. I still have other types of algae, but the water itself is relatively clear.

It cleared up most of the algae in my pond in just a few days! I was really happy to not see green!
