The Imitation of Christ (Faith Classics) Imitation Leather – June 1, 2014

I like the binding and the overall quality of this book. However, the updated paraphrase of the text is very far removed from original. That may be fine for some, but for me it is "The Imitation of Christ" in title only. Update: after further reading, I have somewhat raised my opinion of this translation. It is fairly light reading, and can be more easily understood. Ordered another copy for my grandson, as it contains excellent guidance for a Christian life.

Fantastic. I love the large print and will be able to use it for many years to come.

I've been reading this book since 1974 on a daily basis and it's good to finally see a more ecumenical edition and with updated languageAfter the Bible this is#2

For the price, you would expect a much nicer book than what we got. I suppose it looked like the photograph, but it was just a standard hard-cover book. The typeset was way too modern for a classic like this. Would have been fine for $10 - $20. But a total rip-off at this price point.

This was required for a World History class for High School. I highly recommend it for anyone! It is deep, and you can just pick it up and turn to any chapter to start reading. It is a keeper for me.

I have a hard copy of this work and find the wisdom to be so timeless and thought provoking that I wanted to have it at my fingertips as well. It's the sort of book you can pick up anytime and start reading from anywhere.

Traditional work a Thomas A Kempis. This one is in big print, which is a far cry better for me at this stage than the small pocket size blue book I seem to have lost.

A beautiful Gift, still not presented, but which I know will be immensely appreciated. The friend involved, like myself, loves a "good-looking" book and who I know will treasure this lovely gift for a lifetime. It was purchased as "used" but looks brand new in every respect. I am absolutely delighted with the quality, price and service received.

This modern language version makes this book a delight to read for any and every Christian reader. Treasure this book. One of his main topics is Peace and living in peacefulness. Tell me that you don't need that in the contemporary world.

Excellent quality book for the price. I read this front to back. It is a book that needs reading daily and slowly to reflect on. Much wisdom to be found in this book.
