Universal Specialties Giant Titanic Inflatable Pool Toy

After watching Ghosts of the Abyss my grandson became very interested in the Titanic. I never expected this simple gift, purchased for his 6th birthday, to receive such an overwhelming enthusiastic welcome as it did! Once Titanic inflated, the intensity of his joy was extremely gratifying. Just that made it a great value for the money. An adult will easily inflate this toy by mouth in 5 to 8 minutes; there is a valve that prevents the air form escaping during pauses. The size is impressive. It will not be confused with a sophisticated collector's model, but the details are accurate, distinctive, very satisfying overall. On the bow and stern, 2 plastic rings would enable it to be hung, like from a ceiling, for decorative purposes in a young person's bedroom; it is light enough to allow such use. Since it was too early in the Spring to try it in a backyard swimming pool, it was first floated in the bathtub where it provided great fun. In such a confined space, as it was repeatedly "sunk", it took some pounding and came out none the worse. It seems to be quite sturdy. It also comes with a set of patches would punctures need to be repaired. At play in or out of water, this inflatable toy will require a lot less caution than a breakable hard plastic model; with no small parts it will also be quite safe around toddlers. I would thus believe that any young child interested in the Titanic will enjoy this toy for the freedom from restraint it allows, as well as for its surprising size. A year later (July 2022) this item is still in good shape and being used in our inflatable pool. A small air leak developed. The hole, pin size, was up front, left side of the bow. It was at the juncture of a seam, quite an awkward place to fix with a patch. I circled the location with a pen. When the plastic was thoroughly dry, I used a few drops of Gorilla Glue on the hole, let it dry, then did it a second time. The leak was fixed and remained fixed. With pin holes and seam failures [inflatable pools], Gorilla Glue will work better than a patch. To make absolutely sure, a patch could be added on a glued pin hole, but if a seam is the problem, a patch won't solve the problem. That ship lasted well over a year, and is still being played with. That purchase proved satisfying far beyond expectations.

This blow up Titanic is a fun toy for a pool or bath tub. It has a lot of colorful detail and a “flat” bottom, so it floats upright. Good for gifting.

My 6 years old loves anything Titanic. This was a perfect pool toy for him. Doesn't sink though lol. Its pricey but worth it.

This is easy to inflate, and fun to play with. It could be a bit more durable, but I had a pretty good idea of what I was getting, and I'm not disappointed.

While we like this, it’s pretty small. Small enough that we had a good laugh.

Merry Christmas to my 5 year old. Waiting to hear from the seller so will wait to hear what they plan to do to rectify this Christmas let down. Completely deflating from a small leak somewhere…. That I cannot find. Will update when I hear back… but right now, would not recommend. Great for 2 hours. $30 is a total Christmas gift price, not worth that… maybe if it lasted longer than a day. Sad house right now.

This is the longest last floatie at my house. It’s faded from the sun on it for 7 months straight, but I have two young kids, who have popped every single floatie, except this. This thing is unsinkable. It’s also super Comical when the jets are going and she’s just floating around. I never write reviews, but this is really great, very durable!

My son is obsessed with the Titanic and toys are limited as he is not quite ready for models... he absolutely loves this!!!!
