Fantastic
This is a great product. Even on low setting the water comes out a bit warmer than it should but I'd rather have more warm than too cold. That's the reason it wasnt 5 stars. It also leaks water a bit, so have wrenches handy to tighten the inlet fittings. other than those fixable things this is a great convienient product. Changes the camping structure completely.

Bought two of these-both failed-UPDATED
I have always been one to try and give credit where credit is due. I got off to a rocky start with the Camplux portable water heater, and still don't know why the unit failed. I guess I'll keep it for spare parts. However, Camplux support got involved and were responsive to my issues. Unable to solve my problem over the phone with tech support, they sent me a new heater. So far so good. When these heaters work, they work well. I hope to enjoy this one a little longer. I will add that one needs to be really careful when the temperatures start to dip down towards freezing. Per the owner's manual, I drained the heater as instructed by unscrewing the drain plug. It turns out that was not nearly enough. I got up to a shattered shower head and broken water line on the side of the heating element. Fortunately, I had another shower head and was able to solder the break without too much effort. Now that fall is here at 7,000', I not only drain the unit, but remove the water source, disconnect the hot water outlet to the shower head, and run the unit out of water till it is drawing air and no longer discharging water. And for good measure remove the shower head as I had a second one break even with the hot water hose disconnected and drained. As I said, so far so good. It's nice to have a functioning (and our only) shower again. So, Kudos to Camplux support staff for standing behind their product. I would give them four stars for their support and ultimately resolving the problem. Thanks. So, I purchased two of these units for a four-day outdoor wedding on our property in CO. I installed one in a shower I built, and the other in a makeshift kitchen. We were feeding (and washing dishes for) approximately 35 guests for the weekend. The unit I installed in the kitchen worked briefly then failed right in the middle of the party-No clicking sound, no hot water. To say this was a major inconvenience would be an understatement. The other one in the shower is now failing: the hot water hose that came with the unit for the shower head is about to explode in multiple places and the unit no longer produces hot water. It clicks, fires up, the water flows, but even on the maximum gas setting the water is warm at best. Yes, there is adequate propane to both units, they both new batteries, and adequate water pressure via RV water pumps. I am using the shower heads provided. I have been trying to work with the support folks at Camplux and though they seem willing to trouble shoot, I still have two of these heaters and neither one works properly. They were going to send me a new micro switch, but tracking says the switch hasn't even been shipped yet. The wedding was on August 26, 2023. I have been disappointed with these heaters and will be looking for an alternative as I still need two more for our winter residence south of the border. I would suggest doing your own research and looking into possible alternatives.

Needs a few changes
Water heater works great, same as the last 2 I bought. Looks like a new design. I do not like, that you only have 1 mounting hole and you have to remove the cover to get to it. It item needs 2 mounting holes, TY. Also it would be nice to be able to remove the handle, with out having to cut the screws off.

Overall a very nice product
We used this product for taking showers outdoors during a complete gut (including the floor joists) and rebuild of our only bathroom. Overall I would highly recommend this product but there are some drawbacks. At times, while showering, the flame would shut off and the water would get cold pretty quickly. It is an annoyance more than a reason to not purchase. With the push of a button you just turn the flow off at the handle and turn it back on to re-ignite the flame and wait a few seconds for the water to get hot again. It would intermittently go off like this. Not really certain what would make the flame cut out like this but it would always re ignite quickly. The other annoyance is you have to protect the unit from getting wet. It is not rain proof. It is an outdoor shower system, yet not rain proof. We used a thick plastic bag to cover it up after every shower. Like I said, these things are just annoyances. Other than that, it has an easily adjustable flame and the water heats almost instantly. The water temp can get as hot as you want by either adjusting the rate of water flow with the handle or by using the water control knob on the unit itself to restrict flow or by adjusting the gas flame up higher with the adjustment knob on the unit. Slow the water flow and the water gets hotter. We live out in the country away from anywhere like a gym to shower at so it was a life saver during the rebuild. It is very easy to assemble and get up and running. Just connect the gas and cold water supplies and the supplied shower hose and off you go. A very simple product to use. All you need is a hose with cold water supply and a tank of propane, everything else is included. We purchased a shower tent along with a teak shower mat to place on the ground in the tent. No complaints, just a couple minor annoyances.

Excellent customer service.
Excellent customer service. I had a problem with the product I purchased from Camplux after 11 months of use. I contacted Camplux and they promptly replaced the faulty water heater. I was extremely impressed with their customer service.
