NO, this tester is NOT accurate. I performed a fasting test on myself 30 minutes prior to an official Labcorp laboratory test of my fasting glucose and Hb-a1c. This meter read 116 (supposedly indicating prediabetes), while the lab showed 93 (normal). As confirmation, my official Hb-a1c was 5.4 (below the bottom of the prediabetes range of 5.7-6.5). With an inaccurate result 23 points too high, this meter is not useful for even estimating a general range.
