Amazing fly traps, work quickly and good quality!
1 year update: I've used probably 4-5 of these traps since I bought them last summer and still love them. The bait clearly has a long shelf life because I just put a new one out a few days ago and it's already half full of flies. None of them have leaked. All of them catch THOUSANDS of flies very quickly, significantly reducing the nuisance level in my yard. I stopped bothering to fill them with hot water; just fill them from a hose, hang them up, and let mother nature warm them up. The only annoying thing is that one of them somehow came with the bait bag jammed up between the plastic pieces where the "cap" pulls out to open it. It took a few minutes to get it shoved back down into the bag without damaging the bag itself, but ended up okay. I'll definitely be reordering another pack of these when I run out.1 week update: The one in my front yard is almost FULL of flies. There's been a probably 90% drop in flies buzzing around my workbench when I'm in the garage. There's a dwarf apple tree of some sort next door that's full of rotting fruit so they won't completely go away, but the decrease in numbers has been great! I don't notice the smell unless I'm right next to the bag and there's no sign of leaking yet. Most of the liquid is gone so I'll probably throw it out and put up a new one soon. The one out back was ripped open probably by a raccoon but it still caught enough that my dog and I aren't being swarmed by house flies in the yard again yet! Wish I'd bought these years ago!Original review: Pests of all varieties have been driving me and my dog insane this year; deer flies, fleas, mosquitoes, biting gnats, and house/horse flies. I haven't used this kind of bag trap (even though I know they work) because they're stinky and a pain to dispose of but I'm desperate and SO GLAD I did. I put the first two out about a day and a half ago, one towards the street in the front yard and one hung in a tree out past the fenced-in part of my back yard. They were easy to open (cut a little past the dotted line or the top won't pull out easily), kind of awkward to fill in the shallow sink faucet (I'll use a spigot next time and let the sun warm them up), but they come with a nice hanging wire and it took maybe 2 minutes to set them up. There's no sign of leaking at least in these two.And wow do these things work!!! The one out front has a solid INCH of dead flies in it already. They're buzzing around the top all but fighting each other to squeeze inside and get caught! I haven't gone that close to the one in back, but for the first time all year, I went to pick up my dog's "business" tonight and it wasn't swarmed with flies by the time I walked across the yard! I haven't noticed any smell yet, but I also put them far enough from the house that it shouldn't be a problem. Now, one bit of false advertising is that these will NOT catch deer flies. Maybe the odd one by accident, but deer flies don't hunt by scent. The stinky bait in these will catch regular house and horse flies, probably most of the other varieties listed, but not deer flies. Those little jerks hunt by sight, looking for horizontal motion. They ARE attracted to the color blue, which maybe is why they claim this trap will catch them, but it's not moving and they won't be attracted to the scent of the bait, so they probably won't go inside.I normally use sticky traps for wasps and flies but the Rescue wasp traps have gotten EXPENSIVE the last couple years. The smaller Rescue fly traps aren't quite as expensive, work great, but are full in under a week so those get expensive too. (Yes, FULL, like someone rolled them in a bunch of dead flies!) I tried the really cheap Black Flag brand yellow sticky traps and those were a joke, nothing stuck to them and they fell apart in days. If you don't have that bad of a problem, or don't want to deal with the potential mess and stink of these traps, get the Rescue ones. If you're being driven absolutely batty by flies, get these traps!

Effective Fly Trap - Stinky, But Effective
The BugBane Outdoor Fly Traps are an effective tool to capture flies and keep your backyard pest-free. The traps are easy to use - simply fill the trap up to the fill line and hang up in a bright space. It took less than half an hour for the trap to start luring in flies. There is a cone opening at the top that encourages flies to walk down, and once inside the bag, very few are smart enough to turn and walk back out. The flies, once trapped, will eventually fall into the water and sink, effectively removing them from your backyard. It was fairly horrifying how many flies I caught within a single afternoon. Since then, I've let the trap outside and day after day I keep seeing a layer of flies gather at the top of the bag before sinking down, allowing for the next batch to go in. The trap can be hung for as long as the bait inside stays liquid. It's silent, doesn't require any energy, and once your trap is full, you can push the blue cone down and dispose the entire trap in your trash. The only complaint about this trap is that it does smell. It's not quite as smelly as other similar fly traps, but I would still avoid hanging it in an area where youd sit downwind from because it's a pretty noxious scent. Overall, it's a great tool in reducing the number of flies in your yard, and with four traps, you can easily keep a lot of flies at bay.

Works but very smelly
These things work. Hands down, they catch an f ton of flies. The one thing nobody mentions is how foul they smell when they fill up. Holy Mary mother of God it is disgusting.

Works great, 100% recommended
I’ve been using the BugBane Disposable Outdoor Fly Trap and it actually works way better than I expected. Within just day two, it started catching a huge amount of flies and helped make the outdoor area much more comfortable.Setup was simple — just add water and hang it up. The trap attracts flies quickly, and the disposable design makes cleanup easy when it’s full. It does have a strong smell up close, but that’s normal because it’s what attracts the flies so effectively. Not the prettiest thing to look at once it starts filling up 😅 but if you need something effective for outdoor flies, I’d recommend it. Good value for the price and easy to use.”

Work great! 🪰🪰🪰 attracted to the BLUE!
We have a camper set up at a park with well water and septic. Although WE can’t smell the septic, I believe we’re parked near a leach field or something because the flies certainly can and are HORRIBLE there. (Well, they WERE!)This will be our second year buying these Bug Bane bags in bulk. No joke — we are replacing them every two weeks (April - October). Absolutely FILLED with flies and maggots crawling in/around the top of the bag. Disgusting.I highly-recommend using very hot tap water (4 cups to fill line) so they’re ready to begin working immediately. Also, be sure to hang them DOWNWIND of where you’re going to be outside because the stench is horrid! When ready to dispose of, they’ll fit nicely in a gallon-sized Ziploc freezer bag — ensuring there’s no messy spillage — as you cannot seal them back up once cut open, hung, and used. Be sure to do this the morning of trash day and do hold your breath. 🤮UPDATE: As the flies aren’t nearly as troublesome at the house, I decided to (just for 💩s and giggles) hang a bag on our back deck — just to see what would happen in an area that’s not usually inundated with them. Well, it’s been two weeks and, although I’ve topped-off the water level twice, it’s working GREAT! The bag’s still swarming with flies and halfway-full of their kin’s carcasses. Although I did position it downwind of our seating on the deck, last week — when the wind shifted — we could not STAND to be outside!Bag is being moved further out in the yard to a shepherd’s hook lower to the ground. It smells so foul, I’m sure they’ll find it!They surely DID find the bag that was moved away from our devk. Nasty little 💩 s.

Works!
Works! Hing it up about 3 weeks ago and is halfway full. I kept getting friit flies and regular flies in my house from the dogs coming and going. The amount has drastically reduced. The bag took a couple days to catch on, but it's definitely trapping hundreds. It smells a little if your directly near it, but I hung it at the end of the yard on the fence. Hardly notice it.

Rescue traps are much better
Not as good as the Rescue traps. They don’t catch as many flies.

They work it a lower unit cost
First they work and have a low per unit cost There are a few minor issue when compared to the higher priced traps. To open the trap for use the instructions state to use scissors which is impossible. To open you will have to use a sharp knife being careful not to cut into the bag. The pricier traps use a screw top avoiding the need to cut open to access the top.The other issue is during the disposal, the top does not seal to contain the liquid. I put it in a plastic bag to contain the liquid before disposal. The top on the pricier bags screw tight to contain the liquid. These bags require a little more setup and deposed stepsAll of the bags smell up close, and all work well.At almost 3 times the unit cost of the other bags I’ll stay with these bags

Catching flys within a day
Only placed out 24 hours ago. So far it’s working great. Lots of comments mention the smell but no noticeable smell yet.
