EXTREMELY HAPPY...Recommend 6 Stars !
I have SO many bows that are going bald lol that I needed several new ones to clean bow house. I'm in hot Arizona, so wood bows can warp in the heat and never know when a bar or gig accident will happen - I need carbons. I saw this and the hair looked of interesting higher quality than the white ones so tried it. VERY HAPPY so far. The big deal of course is 'will the hair stay in the bow or start falling apart'. So far so good and very happy with the quality. IT WAS SHIPPED IN A FULL LENGTH OF PVC PIPE !!!! WOW that's pretty pro, industrial, quality shipping. Also came very well foam wrapped inside the PVC pipe with a surprise little plastic fish token.....not sure what that is about but its a very fun touch...vendor pride I guess. Also had an ID tag attached by string which is also a good touch. The frog also has a very high quality smooth silver inlay, not just a fish eye, bow weighs in at exactly 2.0 oz, and has metal wire wrap with sort of leather wrap at the frog. The hair seems to work great even with first rosin. I GIVE THIS BOW 6 STARS. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I play professionally acoustic and custom Zeta electric violins reverbnation.com/jorgeburrage. I plan to buy maybe 2 more plus the cheaper $35 version as backups. EXCELLENT !

Really good bow at good price
It costs me $50 locally to rehair a violin bow, so I just keep replacing them when they need new hair. I like the carbon fiber bows because they are more sturdy than wood and don't warp over time. This one sounds great on my student violin as well as on my very expensive violin, and I can tell no difference in sound quality or projection between this bow and the $350 carbon fiber bow I have. It projects better than the wood bow I have with no difference in sound quality. The black horse hair was an unknown for me, but it took rosin just fine (and it was easy to see where it needed more), and works well. Will definitely buy again when this one needs a rehair.

I am actually impressed
I didn't know what to expect when I ordered this. Most people gave it favorable reviews, so I decided to try it. I have tried much more expensive bows that I didn't like as much as I like this one. This bow feels very stable when I'm playing it, and the sound is definitely bright. That might be my one criticism is that it almost borders on being too bright. I compensate a little by playing closer to the finger board, but I do like that when I am playing with this bow, there is definitely power and projection. I have had other bows that were wimpy, and unless you applied a significant amount of pressure, you wouldn't get bold sounds--you'd get sound, but it was soft. I have never seen black hair on a bow, but this one has black hair. I think I might like that better because the white hair on my other bows always starts to get discolored after a time, and while it doesn't affect anything as far as my playing, it makes the bow look grungy. I won't have that problem with a black haired bow. I think this bow is a worthy purchase for most violinists out there. It's certainly cheaper than many other options out there. Oh and it comes in a PVC tube that is closed on both ends. I mention that because my more expensive bows have often come bound up in butcher paper, and I don't give UPS any credit for being gentle with packages, so it always concerned me that my bow sat in a flimsy box with no real protection. This one was thoughtfully packaged and protected. I appreciated that.

Clear sound, good quality, visually pleasing, great bow.
Great bow for what I use it for. Been a violin student for a couple years now and my teacher told me that my bow, which is almost 6 years old should either be rehaired or replaced. Being of a lesser quality, I decided to forgo the $80+ It would take to rehair it so I decided to replace it. So a little google search lead me to this bow. It IS GREAT! I Didn’t realize how much I needed a new bow. It has good balance, and crisp sound. For an intermediate students such as myself, I would highly recommend it.

This is a very nice bow
I needed a new bow for my violin and saw this one. The price was very fair and the bow plays wonderfully on my electric violin. I would recommend this bow for any student from beginner to advanced. Also, if you play in a semi-professional group and need a spare bow, this one would be a great backup to have on hand. It works very well, but don't cheap out on your rosin.

Hope it's a fluke...
Edit My replacement has been standing strong with no issues. I love the bow and wouldn't hesitate to purchase again! The finger grip is coming undone after only a few days of use. Is has not been exposed to water or moisture. I am not sweaty. I do have major OCD tho and this is definitely a hard no. The unraveling is driving my brain nuts! Returning and replacing with the same item, hoping that it was just a dud or soemthing. The bow itself, I really enjoyed. Great tone and lightweight.

Never again
This is one of the sneakiest items I have ever bought on amazon. Where to begin... I compared this to a fiddlerman carbon fiber bow that came with my violin and let me tell you, its night and day. The fiddlerman white siberian horse hair? Coarse. The "premium" Mongolian black horse hair? Smooth. I'm not sure its even horse hair, it feels like polyester. It doesn't hold rosin for any amount of time. The tone is superior on the white hair of the fiddlerman bow, I expected a richer, darker tone, not a scratchy slipping. It says carbon fiber. I'm pretty sure its wood. I can see grain in the bow. The premium sheepskin on the thumb pad looks and feels like pleather. A thin, sticky cheap film feeling that sticks to the fingers and threatens to separate. The winding came wrapped in plastic tape wedged under the thumb pad. No threading above or below to blend and secure it. The bow looks the part from a distance, but not up close, and it certainly doesn't play it. I wanted an equal contrast to the fiddlerman bow and this is not it. I'll try another brand.

I am so happy with this bow. I didn't expect much from a carbon fibre but this exceeded my expectations. Wonderful feel, balance and spring. Great value for the price point. I will definitely purchase more from this maker.
