Excelente idea
La compré para mi nieto que tiene alergia a ciertos alimentos. En el Daycare van a instaurar la idea de usarlas en todos los niños con alguna alergia. Muy útil.

I thought this was a wonderful idea for my daughter who's in daycare
I thought this was a wonderful idea for my daughter who's in daycare. We were challenged with the multiple care givers she encountered throughout the day. If I drop her off in the morning for breakfast, a different teacher will oversee the children till the teacher comes in an hour or two later. The teacher is very familiar with my child’s allergies, but we found that other teachers may offer things (out of the kindness of their heart) that she was allergic too. I walked in on an incident where a teacher offer her a doughnut hole (she has wheat allergies) and the owner was handing out milk chocolate candies (she's allergic to milk). After having a discussion with the owner and her teacher to make sure we were on the same page, I also made the pro-active effort in buying this bracelet "just in case". Since I've bought it for her, I've gotten a lot of feedback from the daycare that this was a great idea and the other kids want one too. It's been a month now in she hasn’t come home with tummy aches and has gained a lot of weight back from being sick all the time from food allergies. Pros: - The kid doesn't mind wearing it! - The charms don't stick out that from the bracelet to make it look bulky. My daughter's bracelet as six charms including this one. - Bright Colors and sized well to fit on the bracelet for a 2 year old - Design to draw eyes for attention - Made of heavy duty plastic. I've washed the bracelet a couple of times and the bracelet and the charms came out okay - Comes with 6 charms that are the common children allergies. I daughter has 5 of the 6 listed. >_< - You can buy additional charms on Amazon.com. I bought the Allermates I Carry an EpiPen Health Alert Charm . Cons: - None Tips: - The charms are already on the bracelet. I rearrange the charms to show to the higher leveled allergies show right on top which is milk and peanuts. - If you are putting the bracelet on your kid, and they are below 5 years old, be dramatic on how awesome this bracelet looks on her. Prep her daycare teacher to play along. Tell your child not only is it cool, but it tells all the grown up all the things that will their tummy hurt. I found this step crucial in getting my daughter to wear the bracelet the whole day. - When putting them on, take your time. It's heavy duty plastic and I've bent my finger nail trying to pry the plastic to put the charm on. It bleed and stung when I washed my hair.

Great for starting school, camp, places where caregivers may not know your child's allergies
My 5 year old son started kindergarten this fall and I was quite worried he would accidentally ingest some foods he is very allergic to. So in addition to the multiple epi-pens and paperwork filled out for school and aftercare, I had to have this bracelet for him. He has food allergies to milk/dairy, eggs, peanuts and tree nuts. How could I be sure that he would only eat what I packed for lunch? What if it was a holiday or birthday in his class and treats were brought in? Having had 2 incidents where he needed an epi-pen in the last 6 months due to caregiver error, this bracelet helped ease both of our minds that people would know what he was allergic to. It has a very kid friendly design, and the ability to include the exact charms of the allergies he has was key. It has multiple notches for securing the bracelet on so we have some room to grow. It's been just over 3 weeks and the charms have stayed secure, even through swim lessons, gym class, playground at recess. He is not embarrassed to wear his bracelet and the yellow color keeps it gender neutral. This has helped both mom and son ease his way into public school where there are so many new caregivers who have yet to get to know him. I've found it's also great for summer camp and field trips as a reminder that he may require different snacks / meals. The only con is that he is not able to correctly put the bracelet on himself; he requires help.
