How does this go on? i have a canon eos rp with the kit rf 24-105mm lens. i tried screwing it on....forcefully putting it on....and nothing.

I purchased the LH-78F hood for my R6 24-240 lens—it twists on to the exterior of the lens with one easy clock-wise short twist. I don’t have the The 24-105 R lens as I just use my EF L version with an adapter.

What is the diameter of the front of the hood? Item description only gives “package dimensions”.

I have the 600mm f/11 lens not the 800mm lens? The dimensions: dia. 4.25" X 3.5" Long. I suspect the 800mm diameter is a bit larger?

What is the outer diameter of the et77 at its widest? (i'm shopping for a case for the rf 85mm f/2.)

No ideal but the manufacturer indicates it is designed specifically for the RF 85mm f/2.

How much length does this hood add to the lens when mounted normally to take pictures?

It add approximately 2 1/2 inches.
