Very Best of

Description

Unavailable in the U.S.! the Very Best of The Doors (Single Disc/20 tracks) keeps it's eyes on the road and it's hands upon the wheel as it launches an unforgettable voyage through the band's esteemed legacy. Each track boasts a brand new mix supervised by The Doors and Bruce Botnick, the band's original engineer and producer. "We want our fans, both new and old, to hear what we discovered on listening to the actual multi track recordings," says keyboard player Ray Manzarek. "There are background vocals by Jim Morrison, piano parts of mine that weren't used, and guitar stingers and solos by Robby Krieger that never made the original recordings that can now be heard for the first time. We used state-of-the-art techniques to bring these discs to the same sound quality we experienced in the studio when we initially recorded our songs. We invite all our fans to join US in this recreation of the legendary recording sessions of The Doors. And to be a part of our original conceptions." Also available as a 34 track two CD set! Warner. 2007. Review: Classic music - Great flashback. Wonderful album Review: Has all the hits plus more. Same content as "The Future Starts Here: The Essential Doors Hits" - If you like the Doors but don't need the 2 CD collection or the full 11+ minute version of "The End", then this is for you. Of course, price was reduced to $9.99 right after I paid $15 for it. My copy played perfectly which was a big relief after buying 2 different copies of "The Future Starts Here: The Essential Doors Hits" at "WM", both of which had the annoying skip on Track 9 - "Touch Me" noted in other reviews. Very happy with this single CD 20 song collection with all my favs. But if the long version of The End is mandatory, then spring for the more expensive 2CD version of the same Title.
