Would reccomend for anyone from very weak to strong and healthy
First off, let me tell you that I tried one of those cheapies, the folding kind, and if you want to waste your time and money, go ahead and get one. I cant even open a bottlecap right now, and the folding ones werent enough force for me to get stronger on. I returned it, and got this one instead. And, WOW, what a difference! The good: Putting it together is easy easy (except I needed help, but I am a special case right now, with no strength). 4 bolts, and 2 pedals, and 2 batteries (and 2 foot straps). All of it went together super easy (I am using it for purely tabletop right now, so am not using the straps). I set it at 1, and there is no resistence. I set it at 2, and I feel a workout in just a couple minutes (all I can stand right now. I have had neck surgery on 2 disks, and 3x on lower back, and my muscles are so weak I cant do much, which is why I bought this: To get stronger). My wife tried it on 8, and it was hard for her, and she is strong, so once I get to going up in resistance, I know it will be good forever for me The Pedals are awesome, and have finger shapes on one side of them, and palm shape on the other side, so that they dont hurt like those cheapy folding ones did. There are no sharp edges on the Pedals at all, or anywhere near them. The Display actually works (unlike the folding one I had), and it starts up as soon as you start peddling. You can have it keep your progress from every workout by just leaving it alone after your workout, or you can reset it by holding in the big red button. Perfect for me, as I like it reset every day, but dont remember what I did the day before-I can start peddling to see what my time and distance was, then hold red button to reset and see if I can beat my time and distance (although I have only had it a couple days, I have already done this this afternoon when I worked out). My wife bought some of that non-slip stuff for the tabletop (the stuff that mechanics put in their drawers so tools dont slide around, or for kitchen drawers were you dont want stuff sliding around, same stuff), so the Minibike doesnt slide at all. Also, my wife says it is heavy enough to not slide anyway, but was easy-ish for her to move around. I have not had any sounds from the unit, it is entirely silent. It does not heat up like the folding one did. The bad (or, not so good, really, there is nothing really bad on the unit I got): It smells. And, I mean, it smells BAD! It smells like a dirty locker room. It smells like an entire football team stood above it after practice and sweated all over it. A little cleaner and a rag should sort out the smell though. I am sure this is an assembly line piece, that someone actually did sweat on, or multiple someones sweat all over. Pee-yoo The distance to the pedals is more than the cheapy folding ones was. This hurts my neck more, and rolls my shoulders forward a bit to be able to reach it (and I am 6 foot 2 inches tall, and the Minicycle is at the very edge of the table). I hope this wont be a problem for me in the long run. I may have to buy the arm things, like they have at the Physical Therapy place, so that it will be closer to me and I wont have to strain and hurt myself (remember, I am in bad bad physical shape, very very weak, and even just sitting hurts me, so if you arent as bad off as I am then you should not have any issues).

Works great...glad I bought it!!
I was excited to get this in the mail! It was easy to put together and I have arthritis in my hands as well as poor strength (not many steps were needed to put together and it cam with tools). I live a sedentary lifestyle and I was wanting to be more active, but start gradually. I experience random knee pains, muscle fatigue in legs, hip pain, and othe msculoskeletal problems. I use this cycle 3-4 times a week sometimes more and it has helped me with my mobility as well as reduce joint pains and muscle fatigue. After reading all of the good reviews on this product, I decided to give it a try. I had planned on buying a $20-$30 cycle, but found low ratings and poor quality. So this is the one I went with and I am so glad I did. This cycle does not slide like many have commented on. I use it on carpeted floors, but I don't keep it on high resistance...usually 2-3 setting. This cycle is a bit on the heavy side, but it is easily transported by the convenient handle. I started out using the bike on "2" and it was very fluid without any problems. The readout is easy to read ( although I wish it had a light to read at night or in darker areas). It is extremely quiet!! I don't use the feet straps, but my feet do not slip at all. I have no other cycles to compare this item to other than the stationary vertical and horizontal bikes I have had in the past. This bike by far surpasses those other bikes because it doesn't irritate my groin area or put my back in an awkward position and cause back pain and fatigue. My only problem is finding a "comfortable" chair to use this with. For now I simply have a folding chair and that works fine and supports my spine. I would rather use a recliner, but that would probably not be good for my back because I use the cycle for 30-60 minutes at a time...usually while watching tv or taking a break from housework. If you are in search of a quality lower body floor cycle, this is a great investment

Daily use for 31 months and still going strong!
The device was simple enough to assemble. All that was needed was to attach the two feet, the pedals, and install the batteries into the digital display unit. The tools needed are provided in the box. The weight of the unit and the length of the feet make it stable. I do not foresee this thing tipping over. I bought this brand for the built in carry handle. The handle is definitely useful. The unit is not too heavy to move from place to place, but it would be awkward to move the device without the handle. What took much longer than the assembly was finding a way to rig up a system to tether the device to my TV chair. Within seconds the pedaling action pushed the bike too far from the chair. In the garage I located a very long Velcro strap. I attached one end around the left leg of the chair using the plastic loop on the strap. I then passed the strap under the shorter bar and toward the right chair leg. I needed an additional Velcro strap to extend the length sufficiently enough to finish the job. Now I can pedal while keeping the device in place. It has been only two days, but it is very quiet. Time will tell if that will change. Pedaling while sitting in my comfy TV chair with only my slippers on my feet makes for a wonderful recumbent bike experience. I am not using this as a replacement for my daily treadmill exercise. I bought this devise in keeping with my philosophy that moving is better than not moving. With this pedal exerciser reading and watching TV are no longer the sedentary activities they once were. Update: It has been ten months and my Sunny and I are still going strong. I started my weight loss journey six months before I made this purchase. I already had a treadmill, but purchased this pedal exerciser, a step platform, dumbbells, resistance bands, and even a weight hula hoop all from Amazon. I gave up my gym membership eleven months ago and complete all my exercises at home. I have lost over 115 pounds. This pedal exerciser is an important component of my exercise routine. Let’s face it- devices like this won’t last forever. I feel as though I have already gotten my money’s worth. When it dies I will buy another one. Update #2 (November 15, 2020): I decided to update today since the Sunny started making a clicking noise. A bit of WD 40 where the pedals attach to the unit and I am all set. Silent pedaling once again. I lost my goal of 130 pounds and have been maintaining for 18 months now. I use my pedal exerciser as part of my variety of mini exercise sessions. I would say it gets used a minimum of 40 minutes a day, every day. I love this piece of exercise equipment just as much as the day I got it. And I say again- when it goes I will buy another.

Good cheap pedaling machine
If you cant get a full exercise machine, the price point on this makes it the next best thing. Youll need to weigh it down to the surface you choose as it doesnt stay in place too well, and the resistance on the pedals doesnt go that high. Very sturdy and easy to use, so I guess you get what you paid for: the cheapest exercise machine you can find. Very handy for keeping the legs moving while at a desk all day, but very awkward to get the angle to do so.

Just Ok!
This item was purchased for my husband to use as recommended by his doctor. None of the gauges worked unless on receiving it. The foot strap comes off so easy. It does help your blood sc

I freaking love this thing.
It's just heavy enough to stay put and just light enough to lift easily. The placement of the handle is perfect for facilitating lifting. It does not slip on the throw rug where I place it, and neither does the rug. I can't speak for slippage on hard floors directly, but when I had it on a Formica counter while I was assembling it, it did not seem that it would slip easily. Pedals are comfortable on my bare feet, and it pedals smoothly and quietly. Yes, you can pedal backward without any issues. Putting on the legs was easy, putting on the pedals was hard. I did have to get out a socket wrench for that. Be sure you get them on the correct sides. Apparently, based on reviews, that has been an issue for some. Which I don't understand, since the manufacturer even went so far as to put left and right tags on each pedal arm, mark each pedal left and right directly on the pedals, and color code the washers. Maybe the people who got them on the wrong sides were looking at it from the wrong side, but there are also illustrations in the manual of exactly what is meant by left and right. Oh, the manual is amazing as well. Took me back to my technical writing days. It's also nice looking. I debated among several similar units before buying this one, and I wound up buying the most expensive of the ones I was considering. It was worth it.

TL: DR – Not a great item from Sunny; Unfortunate experience with Amazon Resale
TL: DR - I'd have listed this item's condition as Used - Acceptable, instead of Like New, and buying from Amazon Resale only made the experience worse. First, I will speak to the quality of the device as received/manufactured. I have had previous Sunny Health units (including a water-rower) and I happen to love putting things together. Not only was this more difficult than expected, but there was no means of gauging the impact of the resistance knob being turned. The actual central unit with the handle, came together and enclosed, with just the pedals and straps to attach. Nonetheless, this took about 25-30 minutes to do by hand (I'm an engineer). Using the exerciser is clunky and non-fluid. Unsure whether it's the design, or it’s because there were warped metal parts where the stabilizers attached to the mechanism, or the clearly-stripped bolts (no extras came in the package). It was originally going to be a simple gift for mobility, but it'd likely discourage exercise more than anything. NB: We did not notice specifically before purchase, but there is a warning from the manufacturer that the device is not made for standing nor supporting of weight. Just as an exerciser with unquantifiable resistance...? Second, I'll go back to the quality of this 'mint' product and the RETAILER aspect. Because it was a gift, we requested that it come with Amazon packaging. It did not. The packaging made it seem as though whoever had it previously shipped it directly to our pickup location - without it ever being tested or rated again by Amazon There was nothing “Like New” about this item, and we could tell from the moment we saw the box. It was crumpled and clearly Manufacturer Packaging (we’d asked for it to be repackaged, as it was intended to be a gift). As soon as lifted the box to bring it inside, we could hear loose pieces bouncing around (turns out, one of them was the loose batteries that had dislodged along with the entire display. The other battery was still in its spring-loaded housing, (likely discharging, we agreed). We only know the original packaging had protective Styrofoam because of how much was missing – the shreds left surely didn’t protect the item in shipment. Finally, the item was almost too late to bring for Mother’s Day. This item was ordered for ‘Next Day’ on Wednesday - for Thursday -guaranteed between 11am and 3pm. The package was delivered on Saturday, around 2:00pm - the day before Mothers' Day. Travel plans changed so this is not a ‘deal breaker’ by any means. Unfortunately, it’s just a truth of the transaction that serves as another frustration worth mentioning since Amazon was in total control of the fulfillment and delivery of this "Like New" item. An overall terrible experience to have to 'learn' from. Buyers: beware.

My Goal: get rid of that awful dead circulation and sluggish feeling all over from sitting.
I’m home now all the time. Even walking around periodically, did not take away this muscle laxity and weirdness I feel, mostly sitting. Once a day I use a terrific eclipse for 30 min. With a weight vest. It does not do what this very easy to assemble mini cycle does in terms of gentle total chi moving around the body feeling. I’m quiet surprised. Very happy with this. You won’t be disappointed. I have very bad knees and can adjust my sitting position to have no pain but still pedal as hard as I like. There is enough resistance to get me out of breath, which I didn’t expect at all. My experience: After just a few gentle minutes on this thing, I noticed my core was really exercised. In a comfortable but straight back chair, peddling about three minutes at an easy pace, I had a light sweat. I don’t even get that from walking, ever, unless it’s hot outside. I noticed my hands and arms tingled andI felt circulation all over; calves included. My thighs were working. Something I just don’t get in a chair all day long, even lifting my legs up and down for circulation. To husband; hands off my little bike. You said you didn’t want it. IT’s mine. I have atrial fib and am on a light dose of blood thinner. I was really beginning to worry with this “stay at home” order. I’ve read it is not enough to sit most of the day and exercise even once for an hour. Moving is essential to keep the arteries pliable, with a good diet as well. How it feels; only a few minutes on this, I’m going to bed for the first time in weeks, without that weird itchy feeling in my muscles, as if I need a massage or I just haven’t had a good day of lots of moving around. My chi feels like it’s really circulating throughout my whole body. Feet, upper arms, back etc. Maybe it’s just me but in my distant past, I did martial arts, ballet. I know what good after exercise feels like. Physically, frankly, it’s a relief to feel my body is getting fed by moving the blood around. A half hour “after” I used this for about ten gentle easy minutes, I feel this relief physically....like I took a great walk and really got my circulation going. My core feels like it did most of the work in a very gentle way....this was exactly my goal. How I’ll use it; I intend to use it while listening to news, desk work. Feeling sluggish or needing to get my body moving. Surprised by this. I’ll be using this periodically during the day, while using my iPad especially, to stop sitting while I do that for long periods of time. Scary to think of not moving for months during this “stay at home.” This will prevent long term decline for sure. Assembly; never used a tool supplied but probably will tighten things up a bit. It feels so sturdy. Stable. Yet very light. Easily carried from room to room. I could not be more pleased. Completely quiet! Small looking actually but solid looking as well. Very few parts, smooth and easy to unscrew the 4 bolts, stick them in and it’s done. Put 2 pedals on...done.

Good adjunct to exercise knees after surgery.
good portability. Great for quick spin to get knees loosened out after surgery. Can be used for hands, but have not tried that.

Good choice!
I was looking for a way to exersize my leg joints and this static bike model checked and confirmed my searching points: - sturdy construction not to drift easily around, due to my body weight, while working out; - sturdy but not too heavy to lift it for repositioning and the lift handle makes it even easier; - larger turning radius on pedals to provide a feel closer to a regular bike; - smooth operation with almost no noise; - easy slide resistance adjustment knob; - good value for money;
