We follow a Whole Food Plant Based diet with no processed sugar oil or salt. So we use substitutes for the sugar oil and salt. We replace all veggie oil with pureed rehydrated dried plumbs and pureed rehydrated dried dates for sugar. Our blendtek blender is too big for a small job and our food processors do not manage liquids very well. So a powerful personal blender should do the trick. I choose the Tribest brand because we own their Greenstar dual auger juicer and hoped that exceptional design would be in the personal blender. Unfortunately the blades in this blender are way too close to the base so big chuncks, if not whole dates do not get processed into puree. The motor is fine and quite strong. The problem is in the design of the blades.

I liked the set but honestly that cup is quite narrow in the top and wide at the base where the blades are. So sometimes the food at the top in the narrow part just sits there stuck and never blends. It does a poor job of blending fruits and veggies. Actually it does a poor job of blending anything frozen. I was trying to make banana ice cream with just frozen banana slices and coconut milk. Failed. It may be good for simple blends like homemade dips and sauces but everything else seems to remain grainy or unblended. I really wanted to like it. But I’m giving it away and trying a nutra bullet. The power just isn’t there with this one.

A huge improvement over the hand blender. Easy to use, easy to clean. Small footprint. And reasonably priced. After researching the reviews, the next one up on my list was in the $400 range. Serious overkill. Very happy with this one.

this is our second Tribest personal blender. The first one lasted 15 years! Love the ease of shake and go, no mess to clean.
