These are not .5 micron filters. There's no marking on them to tell you what they are. I have the side by side filter chambers so I use the 5 micron filter to catch the larger particles and then the 0.5 micron filter to catch the smaller particles that slip through the first filter. They are smaller and cheaply made. This 'whatever' micron filter have about a 25 percent smaller diameter than the 5 micron filters that I bought from a real company. I'm sending these back.

The product description says 0.5 micron but if you look at the images of the different filter layers it says 5 microns as the inner layer. When I installed the filter it didn't filter out the chlorine in the water, we could still smell and taste it. I also noticed the flow rate was more than 0.5 micron filters I have installed in teh past. Unfortunately I installed it in my travel trailer and tested it too late to return the items. I went to Homedepot and bought a 0.5 micron filter for $30 and once installed it filtered out the chlorine in the water just like expected. FYI 0.5 micron filters have a very small hole (1/8") at each end of the filter where water comes out. This is only a sediment filter, NOT a chlorine, lead, or other undesirable elements filter!

Arrived in bulk packaging with NO labeling (which is okay). I am unable to determine if these are 5.0 micron filters OR mis-represented/ mis-labeled on website and are 0.5 micron?. There is a difference and it is huge!.

I agree with Robert. There was no labeling provided, so I can’t be sure these are 0.5 micron. Just based on looks, I would guess they’re actually 5.0 micron. This seems very sketchy. I will be returning them.

I'm returning these filters. OEM packaging is unlabeled and untraceable (import without no OEM part number). I put too much work into my cider to trust to an untraceable filter. Move on, nothing to see here.
