Die Box wirkt sehr stabil, die Deckelprägung lässt sich bspw. nicht eindällern, gibt nicht nach. Der Deckel schließt ringsherum straff ab, aber genau so, dass man den Deckel auch ohne Gewalt, einfach wieder abheben kann. Das Design im Deckel gefällt mir gut. Die Dose war absolut sauber (keine schwarze Schmiere wie gelegentlich bei Edelstahleinkäufen erwähnt wird). Auch der Rand des Unterteils ist abgerundet, wenn man mit der Hand drüberfährt ist nix uneben, es gibt also keine Verletzungsgefahr. Da der Deckel nach innen ein wenig eingelassen ist, nehme ich an, dass man auch mehrere dieses Produkts gut in seinem Schrank stapeln kann, was mich zu der Überlegung führt, ob ich noch mehr davon bestelle, als Wurstbehälter im Kühlschrank usw. Wer weg von Plastik will, für den ist diese Dose eine gelungene Alternative.

We have 4 total, 2 per child so one is in use and one is being washed. Yes, it sounds like a good bit of money, but given what I've seen and what others have said, these should last them until they graduate, making them not only safer than plastic (better for them and environment) but also very cost effective. I do not know if they are leak proof as I don't put liquids in them. They stand well surrounded by ice packs and because they are steel, keep cold food cold. What I do know is they are very durable, sandwiches and salad parts (tomatoes) don't get squished and they are very easy to clean. I'm recommending them to all who see my feed on social media. REQUEST: I do ask LunchBots to consider making small rectangular sized ones from all stainless steel--both lid and bottom, which are separate just like the UNO. Make these snack size all-stainless steel about 4.5" in length, 2.5" wide, and 2" tall. This size would be perfect for snacks and small veggies such as cut carrots and broccoli crowns, and the rectangular shape would fit better in my kiddos' lunch boxes than the round snack containers. It never hurts to ask, right? Overall, I am very pleased with this product!

I bought these after hearing a lot about concerns over chemicals in plastic containers leaching into food, but they seem to have several more advantages over plastic. I got one each for my daughters and they are big enough to fit sandwiches made from 2 slices of bread, the lids are easy to get on and off (as the previous review mentions, they are not leak-proof but we were only looking for sandwich/snack containers so it's fine). They are durable - if they received a hard knock they might dent but at least they wouldn't crack like a plastic one, and they don't seem to scuff like plastic either - and easy to wash and dry with no difficult nooks and crannies. I tried one in my parents' dishwasher and it worked well with none of the lettering damaged or anything. We have been lucky enough to get the version of this product with the plain stainless steel lid (just the white logo on) which from looking at the Lunchbots website I don't think they do any more, just the coloured lids which, while fun-looking, are less hard-wearing as the paint chips. These are great and we're very happy with them.
