Stainless Steel Rotisserie Grill Roaster Drum Oven Basket

Someone gave me a brand new Omni Air Fryer that they never used and no longer wanted. A few of the parts were missing, including the rotisserie basket. I bought this, and it is the perfect fit. I did have to get a length of square metal stock at Ace Hardware so it would mount in the air fryer. The stock was not quite long enough so I drilled a hole in the end, tapped it, and then screwed a machine screw into the tapped hole. The stock goes into the square drive hole in the side of the over, and the screw head mounts on the bracket on the other side. It works great and lets me roast nuts and also make fries which end up crispy on all sides because they tumble through the heat. I clean it in my ultrasonic cleaner after ever 5-10 uses and it comes out sparkling, like new.

Update: I've used the rotisserie basket to make roasted veggies and sausage several times now and liked the results. It has been unexpectedly easy to clean with the sink sprayer and a couple of inches of soapy water in the dish pan. I always check the negative reviews, and I am happy to report the rotisserie basket I received doesn't have any of the reported problems. It looks well made. This vendor includes the two stainless thumbscrews for fixing the basket to the skewer, and the skewer holes line up correctly. The latch securely holds the door closed. I can see where the spot welds attaching the latch wire may be a weak spot. I hope that being careful with it will avoid their breaking. It came in a sturdy enough box which absorbed a bit of shipping damage without harm to the basket. It's very nice and shiny. All components are non-magnetic, confirming they are stainless as advertised. Altogether, I'm pleased and looking forward to roasting some nuts and french fries!

It works perfectly with an air fryer. Chicken thighs, come out consistently cooked and crisps. The problem is the cage is very hard to clean. My method is I soak it in a bucket of water for a few days just to rinse off most of the stuff that is stuck to it.

First, a suggestion; make sure you measure your rotisserie rod before buying. These products come in a variety of sizes. Having measured, I found that this fit my rod as expected. The closure isn't unduly difficult to use, but stays closed when it should. I have made shoestring fries & tater tots in it. Because it is a rotating drum, they come out uniformly crisp. This, of course, makes them nice & tasty.

I returned the first unit as the hinge pins were missing. After washing and using the second unit upon receipt, I thought the hinge pin issue was an isolated issue. Unfortunately, after washing it after first use, once again 1 hinge was lost. Simple fix was to take a stainless steel turkey lacer, it's about the right diameter, cut it a 1/4" to 3/8" longer then the hinge, bend 1/8" of one end slightly, insert it the hinge and bend the other end. That fix has survived multiple uses and dishwasher cycles. Ideally the manufacturer will shorten the hinge pins, then crimp the ends of the hinge so the pins are captured and cannot be lost.

So the dimensions noted are the overall size which includes the rotisserie mounting lugs. The actual rotisserie drum size is 6.75" x 4.5". I really wanted this to be 8" cylinder length, but... Otherwise the materials used to construct this are much better than expected as it is very sturdy and not flimsy as expected. There are not any screws, only welds on the latch, hinges and mounting lugs. I've never used a closure latch like this and was skeptical, but it too seems sturdy. A pretty clever design uses well formed ends rolled over that hold everything together tightly. The pictures only give a glimpse of the inner mixing shelf that helps mix and rotate the contents. The mixing shelf is approx. 1" x 5.75" and runs 85% of the inside length so leaves an open gap at each end. Coffee beans lodge between the shelf end and the end caps and burn which I have to pick out and throw away, but overall I am pleased with this roasting drum. It suits my first experience of roasting coffee beans. I've only roasted .25 lb. at a time so far during this trial period, but .5 lb. should not be a problem.

This works perfectly inside a Showtime rotisserie for roasting coffee beans or cashews. I had to modify slightly to get it to work with my rotisserie. Just a matter of drilling out two of the holes on each side so it would fit the rotisserie. Mine is a Showtime Compact Rotisserie, but this will fit any Showtime Rotisserie. It does take a little longer to roast coffee beans than it does in a frying pan or home roaster, but it does roast consistently and most of the chaff ends up in the drip tray. What’s left easily is separated durin the cooling phase.

Trommel ziet er mooi uit. Hij lijkt me ook stevig genoeg. Trommeldeurtje sluit met een buigzame lip. Het openen moet je denk ik met gevoel doen. Trek niet te hard aan de lip dat is niet nodig. (Ik zag een review van iemand bij wie de lip afbrak.) Als de oven werkt is hij niet overluid. Fijn ding om bv. uitjes in te bakken, die worden mooi egaal bruin en smaken prima. Ook mooi model om te zien, vierkant en compact, en handig is het grote venster. De zwarte kleur van de kast vind ik jammer, enige minpunt. Dat zwarte valt uit de toon in mijn keuken. Heb de voorkant van de kast wit gespoten met radiatorlak; past nu beter op zijn plek. (Knoppen had ik goed afgeplakt.) Vertrouw erop dat de oven zijn werk goef blijft doen, eventuele retourzending zit er niet meer in natuurlijk.

Good quality and easy to use, easy to clean. Value for money. Roast my potatoes and veg love it saves time and much more healthy

Fits great in my little rotisserie oven.

I use this all the time. It is the only way to cook fries... fresh or frozen. It is big enough to put in cubed potatoes baby carrots celery and sliced up sausage. Cook for 25 minutes on rotisserie and and you have avmeal for you and spouse.
