Why do they claim "farm to table?" That term refers to sourcing local ingredients, not foodstuffs from Amazon & shipping it over large distances.

Because they grow most of the rice themselves on their own farm. They also dry, mill, package, and ship the rice. So they control the rice from planting through all phases of production all the way to the store.

Looking for a short grained rice with a high starch content. I intend to use it for preparing the Indian dessert rice kheer. Is this be a good choice?

It should work for that. It is starchy, sticky, and short grained. I used it for sushi rolls.
