Reliable Boost Jump Starter
Thankful we purchased the GB150 for a sense of security, and self serving support should our vehicle fail to start. That day arrived when a recent event on a cold (sub-freezing) morning when our vehicle failed to start. The battery had drained down from 12-13v for some unknown reason. Once the GB150 was connected to the positive terminal and the negative connected to the engine block, the GB150 displayed a voltage of 5.4v, then quickly rose to 11.6v, before attempting to start the vehicle. The GB150 started the 2.0L 4-cyl immediately with ease. The GB150 has shown to be easy to use, effective, solid study product that works as intended. We’ve ordered a second GB150 to keep in our other vehicle, just for the sense of self-reliance security.

Nearly 9 years of real-world use. Buying another without hesitation
I bought my NOCO GB150 back in 2017, and this thing has been an absolutely great. It’s been used regularly on cars, trucks, and equipment over the years, not just sitting in a glove box for emergencies. Cold starts, neglected batteries, long sits. It has handled all of it without complaint. Fast forward to 2026, and it’s only now starting to lose capacity. It still works, but it’s noticeably weaker than it used to be. Honestly, after almost nine years of frequent use, I consider that an incredible lifespan for a lithium jump starter. No swelling, no scary behavior, no sudden failure, just normal battery aging after nearly a decade. That alone says a lot about the quality and safety of this unit. I’m buying a new GBX155 to replace it, and the old one has more than earned its retirement. If you want a jump pack you can actually rely on long-term, get this. Worth every penny.

Works On A 2 Battery Vehicle. Be Aware Of Sparking Potential.
First off, this product arrived on time and undamaged. Initial Thoughts: This product was packaged very well and it seems quick sturdy and well made. It arrived with a minor charge and took 3 “full” days to fully charge it to 100% while utilizing the included USB power cable in a North American Wall Outlet with USB adapter. Why We Bought It: My wife and I own a H1 6.5L diesel dual turbo (two 12V batteries system) and we live in a region where the days typically stay below freezing and even in the negatives for weeks on end. This longevity of cold weather frequently results in damaged and drained vehicle batteries in our area. In the past, we wasted a lot of money on new batteries until we bought the NOCO Genius G4 Charger. Unfortunately, we cannot utilize it as a trickle charger due to the distance the vehicle has to set away from a power outlet, but we can easily remove the batteries to repair or “boost” them when needed. To date, we have been able to revive many (6 batteries), but not all, damaged and/or drained batteries. The G4 Charger is a hit and miss with us honestly (as our review on that product states); but overall, when it works, it saves us a lot of money instead of frequently purchasing new batteries. Due to our understanding of that product's built quality, we felt purchasing the NOCO Genius Boost Pro GB150 would be a safe bet. We also felt that as long as we can start a vehicle with the GB150, we can at least get it to where we need it and then us the G4 to fully charge it and/or repair it at a later time. In short, the GB150 does seem very well made and sturdy. Before I progress, it is also important to mention that prior to taking the leap in purchasing this product, we even attempted to keep our H1 attached to 4 interconnect 9W NOCO Solar Panels (trickle charging system), but we quickly discovered they are useless for a 2 battery system (even in the summer months). That being stated, the panels are good for charging cell phones and other electronic devices over a "long'" period of time in “direct” sunlight. Since our prior attempts with 4 NOCO solar panels didn't help us maintain a continuous charge and since other battery jumper devices never had enough amps to jump our 2 battery vehicle, we bought this NOCO Genius Boost Pro GB150, charged it upon receiving it, and have waited for a good day to test it. Initial Conditions Tested In and the Results: We have not driven our H1 in 3 freezing weeks (via being out of town) and today we awoke to 7 inches of snow and -5 degrees F. After attempting to start the H1, there was not enough power to crank it over prior to using the GB150. However, once we attached the GB150, it only took 2 cranking attempts and the H1 was purring with no issues. As such, this product works! However, we did experience one flaw. Supposedly, this system is supposed to prevent sparking unless you override the system and turn off its safety features on a fully drained battery (below 2V); however, on the first crank it sparked significantly and suddenly. Since the H1 is so wide and since the view was restrictive by the engine when we cranked it, we were unable to see what initiated the spark. On the second attempt, we checked the connections (which seemed fine) and attempted to crank it again without touching any clamps between the battery terminals and the GB150. This time there were no sparks and it started right up. So you may ask, why did it spark the first time and not the second when no cables were touched? We have no idea. Perhaps we missed something the first time, but we wanted to warn everyone that there “is” a potential for sparking so please be careful. Perhaps there was some corrosion on the terminal or perhaps some snow (since it was snowing and we did this outside) created a short or some sort. In either case, this product “did work” which makes it a good investment for us. We hope it lasts and gives us years of problem-free results. How Long To Recharge After Use? It took approximately 5.5 hours to recharge the GB150 back to 100% after utilizing it this morning. Again, this is utilizing a wall adapter and “not” a computer or cigarette lighter adapter as it states it is capable of doing. Conclusion: With everything considered. This product is well made, sturdy, and does what it’s advertised to do. However, since the first cranking attempt resulted in unknown sparking, it is important to remember you are working with electricity and you should always utilized the proper safety protection (goggles, gloves, etc) when operating this booster. That being stated, in utilizing this product with the NOCO Genius G4 Charger, we finally have a winning system that is saving us money. We hope this review helps.

Just wowwww ...
This device is insane . I have been using standard 50 pound jump starters for years and they usually , but not always , performed sufficiently , and not always reliably . Lately , for the last 2 years , I have been dealing with a failing " battery saver module " in my 2007 Ford F350 CrewCab 4x4 6.0 diesel pickup . The short explanation is that when the outside temps drop below 60 to 50 degrees , the battery saver module kicks in . Once the days get cooler and the BSM activates it completely drains both batteries in my truck in about 2 days while my truck sits unoperated . My standard jump box just wasn't charging sufficiently anymore to jump my truck from a dead start , and about 2 weeks ago it completely failed even though it was as charged as it was going to get . After reading up on these type of jump starters and reading tons of reviews for different brands and sizes of these jump boxes , I wasn't completely confident that these things can or would actually operate as the manufacturers claim . I decided to purchase the NOCO GB150 mostly because ; 1. They are an American manufacturer and ... 2. because they have been manufacturing vehicle assistive devices for many years and have an established reputation and ... 3. because their machines aren't built around add on cheap , junky , gimmicky crap like tire inflators , laser lights , compasses , radios , mini winches , etc....its just a solid jump box built into a strong , high quality housing with a useful , quality LED headlight and a few plugs for USB and charger adapters , and.. 4. it seems to have better overall safety features than the other comparable brands , plus it is rated for much larger engines , and I did not find any other brand offering a machine rated for such large engines and.. 5. In comparing the NOCO GB150 and it's parts such as the cables and post clamps to other brand boxes , the NOCO quality seems to be solid , professional quality . After receiving the box and examining it , it is my opinion that this is a finely manufactured product , no cheap or flimsy parts at all . Charging it completely out of the box as advised in the user manual took about 12 hours . The following afternoon I went out to my truck to start it up . It was about 3pm and the afternoon temp was about 75 degrees , and the overnight temp got down to about 49 to 53 degrees . My truck had been parked for 12 days without being started , and the batteries were completely dead . I attached the post clamps , waited about 1 minute , and keyed the ignition switch. The engine kicked over vigorously , no lag , no hesitation . I went into town to do chores and run errands , making several stops throughout the afternoon . I jumped my truck 5 more times that afternoon . When I returned home , I checked the box and the charge indicator gauge showed the box STILL at 100% . I left the box on the passenger side of the floor for the next use . I went out 2 days later , jumped my truck that morning and 4 more times that day . Upon returning home I checked the box and the charge indicator gauge showed the charge at 75% ! Think about that ...I jumped my 6.0 diesel 11 times over a 4 day period without recharging this box , and it only used approximately 1/4 of the contained charge ..that is unreal . After reading the reviews , the only concern I had --apart from this box actually performing as the manufactures claimed it would -- was the complaints from a few customers that the power component ( battery pack ) failed rather early ...there were only like 3 or 4 reviews with this complaint ...in contrast there were hundreds of 4 and 5 star reviews for this box , none of which mentioned the box having a short lifespan or otherwise failing . Also , there were a few follow up reviews from guys who had purchased the box more than a year or more prior and talked about how the box was still functioning dependably as it was designed to do . One other thing to keep in mind is that should the battery pack fail , NOCO states in its user manual that it does rebuild the box should the owner send it in for such service . In conclusion I absolutely recommend this box or its smaller versions . In my opinion , NOCO builds the best quality box , and judging from other reviews , also maintains a responsive Customer Assistance department which is important as these jump boxes are not a throwaway item . Buy this jump box . 5 STARS !

The jump start are safe.
We have these at work where we service RV's, and the 3000A safe jump start work amazing, and they hold up for quite some time, as ours are 3 years old now and still working great.

NOCO GB 150 Packs a Punch at a very Manageable Weight!
After the NOCO Boost GB 150 Jump Starter arrived and I received the optional NOCO XGC4 56 Watt Power Adapter separately the NOCO GB 150 was fully charged in about 2 hours. Although I haven’t had to use the jump starter it gives me peace of mind that will be available if needed. It is well made with straight forward charging procedures that packs a “punch” at very reasonable weight that is easily handled by everyone.

GB150 is a great tool to have in the box. Makes jumping a breeze. (But has limitations see update)
Purchased this one and a smaller version for my son to keep in his car. The are both small and feel well made. I found it easy to charge. I used a fast charger that I already had for my phone. Took a little while but could not have been easier. The bag that it comes with is a good way to keep the few extra dodads like the charge cable. I got chance to use my GB150 yesterday. I have an old John Deere (Diesel) that is hard to start on the warmest of days. This was a some what cold day 35 deg at the time I did this. I did the norm, I tried to start the old girl with out the Boost and it turned over reluctantly a few times but it became clear it was not going to have enough juice in the on board battery to get the job done. I grabbed my Boost GB150 and hooked it up. Turned it on.. Note that I charged this over a month prior and it has been sitting in my truck under the back seat until now. I had read another review where someone had said that if they get cold, the loose there charge. Well its been cold.. In the 20s at times and well below freezing for weeks now. When I turned this on, I was expecting it to report that it was either dead or at least not at 100%. To my delight it stated fully charged. Blinked as it should when starting up and then I turned the key to heat the plugs a little more. Then after about 10s I tried to start it up. It turned over like a champ.. Honestly I think it turned over better than I have heard it in a long time. I normally have to let the starter spin for a good 20s to get things running. This was not an issue. It is big when compared to the other versions but it is not big when you compare it to breaking out the 200 AMP Starter charger.. In my case that would require running a line out to the back of the property. It weighs maybe 8 lbs I would say. Far more continent to use than any alternative I can think of. When I was done, I shut it off and disconnected it. A little later when I was putting it back in the truck, I turned it on again to see if the charge had diminished to a point where I would want to charge it. It was still claiming 100% so I don't think the start took too much out of it. Over all I am very pleased with the performance of the GB150. It is compact enough to keep one in the truck and not worry about it taking up space. I will be getting another smaller one for my commuter car now that I know they are the real deal. I also think it is so easy to use, I would not have much trepidation if my wife or daughter were to need to use one to jump their cars. Thinking about it now, for my daughter, this is a must. Never again would she have to ask for someone to help her jump her car if she had one of these in the trunk. I look forward to using this many times over the years ahead. Update(2018/01/04) Well I recently moved to a much colder climate and found that many of my battery started toys like my ATV or lawn tractor and even 2 of my cars had batteries that were just not up to the task of the much colder nights here. Where I was able to use thei GB150 several times to get me going again.. I did find that if the battery in a car is really done, this is not going to do the trick. I had 2 instances where this was the case. Once while driving on the NY Turnpike and at a rest stop. I was asked to help a fellow motorist jump there car. I was sorta excited since I had the GB150 on me and I had charged it just before the trip. I also had a trailer on my Truck this trip so I was not really able to pull up easy to do a standard jump. Well the battery on this fellows car was really bad. When I hooked the GB150 up it said 9.15V. then started to clime to 11.4 and sat there. we gave it a couple of tries and one of the times we waited easy 5 min before trying the start. It was a no go with the GB150. We then pushed his car to a place where I could pull up with my truck and trailer without blocking traffic and did a normal jumper cable jump. That worked all most instantly with me revving the truck a bit. I still think it is worth the money and is a quality product. Just don't leave your jumper cables at home.

Great Product - Cheap/Whimpy Carrying Case
All around solid product. Used this to start a 2016 Toyota Tundra from a completely dead battery and it turned right on. Also used it on a 2010 Infiniti G37 with the same result. Has some USB options for charging devices (as pictured). Takes all day/night to charge from a USB. Light works great if you're in a bind and need one. Lots of options out there but I will say - this one works and works well. No sparks on any of my jumps. I will say to the manufacturers/retailers of the product - what on earth were you thinking sending me a $300 product with a flimsy cloth bag(?) as a carrying case? You couldn't stretch everyone's money a little bit and throw in a little carrying case for this thing? One of cheapest moves I've ever seen a company do with a high dollar product. Four stars for that and I'm throwing in a picture of the that pitiful, sad, paper bag carrying case.

The fact that it works on a SUV that the battery was completely dead.
It works very well. I had to use it on a car that the alternator was broken and we were able to move the car to a safe place by living it connected to the car. Also it started my SUV very well compared to the Canadian tire version that was not able to start my car. Amazing product.
