Sounds great. No extreme thump but it lets you know the bass is there.
I just got this today and was eager to get them set up. The directions to connect it all together were very simple and clear. I finished the connections and discovered that it will connect via bluetooth instead of having a wire running from the laptop or phone. Once I figured out how to connect my laptop to it wirelessly, I opened up VirtualDJ and tentatively cued up a song and hit play. The sound that started pumping out of these speakers was fantastic. They're bookshelf cabinets with a 4" speaker and a tiny tweeter so you're not going to get deep thump out of them. However, they're quality enough to let you know the bass is there. The volume pot is a step pot which helps prevent volume fade. The bass pot is not a step pot but turns smoothly lock to lock. It doesn't add a ton of bass but it does enhance the lower tones to make the music a more pleasant experience. There's 2 connections on the back of the powered speaker to use the included wires to connect either mini plug to rca or rca to rca connections (both of these wires are also included). You could plug both wires in and leave the non-used wire dangling until needed (this would keep dust out of the rca inputs). The speaker wire included is to connect the powered speaker to the non-powered slave speaker. This wire could be at least double the length but it's not a deal breaker in the least. I will be using a longer and heavier gauge wire to connect the two in the future. All in all, these are a great value for the money (especially when they offer a discount) and should get you long enough use to make it worth the cost. As with all these oriental "ALL CAPS" named companies, you get what you pay for but these, so far, are exceeding my expectations. Don't push them like you're putting on a concert and they should last quite a while.

Awesome speakers for a good price
Was looking for a small pair of bookshelf speakers for my son's newly purchased record player. I didn't want to spend a fortune but wanted to ensure he heard the benefit from his vinyl collection rather than the more soulless digital sound from streamed music. I settled on these based on 3 things - built in amp, price, and size. The additional Bluetooth functionality is a bonus but sort of defeats the purpose of buying the speakers to get away from digital streaming. The sound is crisp, clear, and the bass can be adjusted to provide deep room shaking tones if that's your preference. At the price point its difficult to imagine better sound quality from a relatively small pair of speakers. Where Bestisan really have excelled has been in their customer service. About 11 months after purchase the speakers stopped working. I couldn't tell if it was the power adapter or the speakers themselves. A quick email explaining the situation resulted in a new adapter being shipped free of charge and the speakers worked again. 🙂 Highly Recommend these speakers and in the event something does go wrong you can be confident their customer service team will fix it for you.

Connecting these speakers to a stereo receiver could be problematic
I purchased these speakers based on previous reviews and the discussion of the connection capabilities. What is not clear in the product description is there is an active speaker and a passive speaker. All inputs go from the active speaker to the passive speaker. I am connecting these speakers to an older stereo receiver with various outputs (tuner, CD player, phonograph, and 2 tape outputs). I assumed (incorrectly), connecting the receiver speaker connections to these speakers would be an option for connection. Unfortunately, the Bestian speakers have three input choices, 2 stereo RCA line puts or Bluetooth. The actual speaker connection on the speakers are used to carry the sound from the active speaker to the passive speaker, unlike typical stereo speakers, where the speaker output from the receiver is what powers the speakers. I was able to purchase speaker line-out converter, and connect to RCA-inputs which connect to one of the two line-in RCA jacks on the active speaker. I purchase a Kicker Kicker 46KISLOC2 Speaker Wire-to-RCA Line-Out Converter w/LOC+12v Turn on Lead. This connected to my receiver speaker outputs and when connected to the Bestian active speaker line-1 input allowed all of my receiver selections to output to these speakers. This connection forced me to minimize the receiver speaker volume and use the Bestian active speaker master volume. This worked fine and the sound was very good. I also realized my stereo receiver has a tape monitor option, which means all of the receiver selections (tuner, cd, phonograph, tape 1 and tape 2) output from two RCA jacks and when used as input to the Bestian speakers, works very well. Using this option eliminates the requirement of using the Kicker converter. All-in-all, I am happy with this purchase and like the sound of these speakers. My only complaint it having the description of how these speakers operate, have more detail. Hopefully this will help someone before purchasing these speakers.

Fantastic sound - works with Bluetooth wireless or wired!
I read all the Amazon reviews before placing an order for my BESTISAN speakers. I'm pleased to report that the speakers live up to the stellar reviews. The speakers came well packed, and in the box are all the cables you'll need. (RCA to 3.5mm, RCA to RCA, and power.) Also included is a quick start pamphlet. I'm primarily running this pair with a 2018 Mac mini using Bluetooth. Occasionally, I'll pipe music to the BESTISAN speakers from my iPhone. No issues whatsoever with either setup. Setup was straight forward and the quick start manual is more than sufficient to get you up and running. I tested a few audio tracks that I'm incredibly familiar with, and it was like listening to them with a fresh pair of ears. WOW! I was amazed with the clarity of these speakers. I've listened to spoken word tracks as well (podcasts) and they sound crisp and clear. Bass response is probably the best I've heard from a pair of bookshelf speakers, especially for this price point. All in all, I'm exceedingly pleased with my BESTISAN speakers and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who's looking for a pair of affordable, good looking and well-built speakers for their audio setup.

Clean audio with nice bass
Tested these speakers as computer speakers and with my phone to play music. I don't use the BT connectivity directly with the speakers, as I connect my audio first to a pre-amp / graphic equalizer via BT first and the speakers are getting audio signal from the graphic equalizer via RCA. Compared to my Logitech PC speakers (which come with a separate subwoofer), I'd say these BESTISAN speakers offer a better sound quality. Although they don't provide as much bass as those Logitech speakers because of no extra subwoofer, however they have their own 4 inch woofers that have enough power to emit satisfying low frequency sound and also provide nice middle and higher frequency range sound thanks to the tweeter. Aesthetically they are also very nice. The front covers are detachable, which uncover the 2 speakers (mid-freq / woofer and a tweeter) and an outlet / hole for the low frequency sound. Be careful though while removing those front covers. I suggest to use some plastic picnic knife (the dull side of it) or some other sort of non-metal flat tool with smooth edges to wedge under the fabric on all 4 corners to slide these plastic locking rods from their corresponding slots in the speaker's case to remove the front covers. IMO they look great with or without covers.

Good bass with some tweaking.
They sound pretty good. They do have plenty of bass, but you have to use software or the windows bass boost with loudness equalization to get the most out of them. I've had them for almost 3 years now and they are still playing great.
