RIDGID 31803 65S Stainless Steel Tubing Cutter, 1/4-inch to 2-5/8-inch Tube Cutter

I'm using the Ridgid tubing cutter on 409 stainless 2.5 inch exhaust pipe to make offset and shaped sections. This tube cutter is exactly what I was looking for. It makes clean and square cuts that only need minimal dressing with a sander when finished. It was a little challenging for me to cut within the radius of mandrel bends (because the bends I am working with are slightly deformed), but with a little patience during the first few turns of the cutter it finally makes a very accurate cut. You can see from the fit-up of the pieces in the photo that it's good for TIG welding (the bend in the picture has a 3-3/4" CLR). The rollers on the Ridgid cutter will make a pretty good groove when cutting on the interior side of the bend radius (see the attached picture) and it will also slightly burnish the surface on the outer side. If you're in a hurry to make cuts, you'll want to stick to using a band saw or chop saw.

and yet again another quality tool by Ridgid, you pay alittle more but well worth the expense. I bought this cutter for cutting stainless steel sleeves it cuts them quickly and does not scare the stainless at all, The roller bearings in the cutting wheel and in the rollers make cutting pipe smooth and effortless. I would say it cuts through pipe in half the time of a standard ridgid pipe cutter.

Ottima taglierina, professionale e precisa, fornita con lama di ricambio in dotazione, l’ho utilizzata per tagliare dei tubi inox da 42mm di diametro, taglio precisissimo e senza fatica, ottimo il sistema di apertura a scatto per aprirla del tutto una volta finito il taglio. Même sur des tubes en inox il fait le boulot !

There were a returned item, so were a lot cheaper. They were in excellent condition. They arrived a day early as well. Use them at work and are excellent, glad I bought them.
