Is this made in Germany?

No. It is made in China it seems. I had not paid attention till a customer asked and I had to check. The box is plain cardboard without any sign or picture and there’s is no mentioning of Made in China on the bottom of the beer Stein. But the tag that hangs from it has Chinese script.
