This unit is well-constructed around a heat-hungry aluminum heat sink. Dual fans are mounted on a protective plastic frame. The surface area of the heat sink is generous and will suck away the heat from the back of your phone. This is ACTIVE COOLING; it uses high-tech semiconductor cooling which is also used in portable electronic coolers. Make sure the back is flush and is not overlapping your camera bump; this will create a gap which reduce its effectiveness and encouracge condensation instead. The unit is very lightweight and fairly quiet. It has a thoughtful USB-A to USB-C power-passthrough feature to power both the fan and the phone (2-amp USB charger required). One USB-A-C cable is included. NOT A WIRELESS CHARGER. It also has a 1/4" camera mount screw socket so you can attach it to any sort of camera mount. One standard socket swivel mount is included, but no base. I use this unit to keep my Samsung phone cool while using it in desktop mode with a monitor; no more "this app is overheating your phone and will close" messages! This is definitely a good value for the price.

The effectiveness of this product depends on the phone and where the SoC is located. I currently have a Pixel 9 phone. The SoC is located on the side of the phone within reach of this cooler. My experience with my Samsung Galaxy S24 was very different. The SoC on that phone was located in the top corner of the phone which is not in reach of this cooler due to the camera being in the way. This cooler keeps the S24's battery cool but not the SoC. The S24 still throttles with this cooler.

I use this item every day on my cell phone when I use my GPS… unfortunately my iPhone heats up and this item cools it down quickly and efficiently… warning: this is my second device, reason being, you must be very careful while stretching the side clips!!! Design, flaw, repeated use will break them… the only Achilles’ heel of this product, otherwise it works very, very well !!!!

So I promise you, if you're skeptical ab out this working, it actually does work. I will note, I'm using a release window Pixel 6 Pro with the first gen Tensor chip, it gets very hot. And when I say very hot, I mean watching any video more than 5 minutes makes the sides almost unbearably. It gets so hot, that it messed up the cell receptor (but that's another story). This cooler is legit. It's quiet and largely unobtrusive. If you're using you're phone a lot, you may want to grab a stand for it to attach to it. When running the cooler and charging at the same time, if nothing's running it shaves off ~15 minutes on charging. If I'm running a game or video and charging, it charges like normal instead of throttling due to heat.

Cooler worked great for a day or two and then stopped cooling. The fans come on but it doesn’t cool my phone anymore.

Pros works as desc keeps iphone xs (which overheats like crazy due to poor quality screen replacement it has no auto brightness even at 205 percent brightness it overheats) fan will keep the xs cooler (not cold nor hot but coolER) keeps the phone from overheating, slowing down i use the phone as a video calling device and this cooler keeps the xs working properly cons clamps are too small for a case im pretty sure it would cool even w a thinner case as i have another cooler fan that is magnetic that cools the phone even throughh a case - but that is w a newer iphone not my xs. will have to try to be sure. anyways the clamps on this cooler are only good enough for a xs/12 sized phone basically your avg 6.1 inch maybe up to 6.6 inch phone depending on bezel size dont think it would work on 6.7 inh phone as it wont fit my lg v20 which has same body size as any 6.7 in device the led lights are stupid but being on the back, they dont distract at night overall good device and cheaper than the 60 usd units out there that are the same thing both my cooler fans cost about 40 percent to half those units. aas it keeps my xs working properly even on 8 hour video call, my guess it would help w aaming session. i prefer my magnetic cooler which is no longer for sale on azn sadly. they must have been paying for reviews and got banned as a result. the magnet feature really is helpful and i wish this review unit had it instead of clamps for what it is, it works and even gives you a cable to charge it

I was having problems charging my iPhone 13 and got an overheat warning a few times so I got this and a phone case with metal on the back and vents and the two work together great. It would be nice if it had an ON/OFF switch because when I forget it on a few times it gets so cold that water will drip off the metal plate. It is effective up to about 85 degrees after that it doesn't get that cold so I ran AC when driving then it got super cold. Also, speeds up charging because as the phone heats up charging slows down but when it is cool it will charge at full speed.

Using 2x of these and they really do work! I have one of them plugged into the other via the USB A port. Both seem to draw 6W evenly.

Running genshin at max graphics 60fps on dimensity 8100. Phone is only slightly warm at the CPU area with the cooler.

The thermoelectric cooler does indeed work great and keeps the temperature of my S23 Ultra very well while under heavy load and long gaming sessions

Works perfectly to keep your phone cool if using your iPhone for face tracking. The mounting hole on the back lets you attach it to a mini desk tripod which is ideal!
