Danya B. Contemporary Encircled Male & Female Reader Cast Iron Sculpture Bookend Statues (Single Male)

This artwork/bookend is heavy enough to hold books. This is why I purchased it. I am surprised by the quality! All edges are smooth, the stick figure looks very comfortable in a relaxed pose. I m used to seeing bent knees or legs stretched, but this little guy sits like I do: one knee bent up, and the other flexed off to the side. I am surprised by how charmed I am! The seller packed this very carefully, and included a note about their family business, as well as contact information and return information should I require further assistance. I am really happy with this purchase!

I am an avid reader so this was the perfect addition yo my collection of Danya iron sculptures. Sturdy as well as beautiful. Although I love all of the Danya sculptures, one needs to be careful. Some of the pieces are not actually made if iron and there are color variances. This piece is not a bronze color but rather a dark matte brown. Although I usually prefer the bronze color, the description of this piece indicated the piece was dark brown in color and the piece is still whimsical and to my mind, a beautiful sculpture.

I gave this to my 29 yr old son for Christmas and he loved it. It looks just like him when he reads, which he does whenever he can. He doesn't normally like knickknacks, but is making an exception for this one. It is very solid and heavy. It was a thoughtful gift.

This is heavy and perfect for use as a bookend or a decoration. My picky bookworm son loves it and wants a similar one for the other end of his books, but I’m not finding something in the same style that is heavy enough - the only drawback. This artist is phenomenal and it would be nice to have another similar sculpture that is heavier than the ones that are offered so you don’t need to have the same thing on both ends. It is super cool, though, and something you can use in a variety of home decor situations.

The product turned out exactly like the picture and has a good, even weight to it. I don't feel like it'll weigh my shelf down and it looks great with my living room and even tells a story itself. I would gladly gift this to someone and would know that they'd love it just as much as I do. Worth every penny! I know it's just a "statue" but I'm sold lol.

I wanted something different as a gift for my son and son-in-law, who are both avid readers. One an attorney, one a priest, the home of both filled with books. I took a chance on this and was amazed at the quality. A very substantial piece, beautifully crafted and exactly the gift to show appreciation for their love of books. Arrived the next day, carefully packaged in perfect condition.

Bought this for my daughter who loves to read. The base isn't perfectly flat and the sculpture will tip over to the side is the dresser is rocked to hard. Other than that, I love it and she does too.

I am revamping my home office and really love this minimalist design. I'm also a little bit of a bibliophile, so this is also something I find beautiful. There is something so relaxing about the simple, elegant reader. This could make a great bookend as well, it's plenty weighty. Great gift from my big brother :)
