A10-205 Marine Kettle Gas Boat Grill, Original Size (15"), Portable

Works great, nice size for on the boat. We got the 15" for ease of storing it, fits a decent amount of food and heats up fast. We ordered a case that holds the grill, extra propane bottles and utensils and also ordered a mount that we were able to drill into our counter top and it has a plug when it's not in use. For years we brought a cheap grill that we had to either take off the boat to set up or we would try to use it on top of the counter but it always moved around with the waves, wish we would have bought this grill years ago.

I was looking for a grill for my boat. Needed something sturdy and easy to clean it. Bought this grille and very happy with it - grilled about a dozen of times and it exceeded my expectations: - Very sturdy (no plastic stuff or cheap materials) - Cook great (tried chicken, beef, salmon and veggies) - great temp control and coverage - Easy to clean and re-assemble (thank you!) - that was important as my boat space is limited. - I bought leg stand for it and can now take it anywhere (not just a boat) and I sometimes grill at home - Good price Cons: can't think of any. As the saying goes - you get what you pay for (in most cases) and this is def the one. Don't cheap out on other non-quality brands - go with this....

This boat grill is awesome! We cooked burgers and hotdogs in no time out on the lake with no problem. The grill heated up evenly, and no issue getting to temperature. Food cooked wonderfully! It was super easy to mount and was extremely sturdy. We used the rail mounting kit recommended for it. The lid is also stays on nice and tight. This grill will be perfect for so many boating adventures! It will also store nicely in the boat, not taking up too much room. I will be getting the storage bag for it at some point. I highly recommend this grill!

Here's the thing, if you're expecting this to be the equivalent of your backyard Weber Genesis, you'll be disappointed. Lower those expectations, and you'll enjoy it for what it is - a simple, economical way to grill on your boat. I've had this Original Size grill on my sailboat for over a year now, and it's performed admirably. We've grilled steaks, burgers, dogs, brats, chops, chicken, fish and some veggies. There's a learning curve in the beginning, you certainly can't fine tune the flames like you can a full size grill, but you learn quickly how to grill "properly" with it. Nobody has returned their food to the chef yet. It lights easily, heats up quickly, and the flame has stayed lit for me in 20+ knot winds. I either use a 1-pound propane tank, or an adapter hose that fits my 5-pound tanks in the cockpit LP lockers. It's easily mounted on my 1-inch cockpit stanchion with the addition of the Magma mounting bracket (costs extra), and I keep it covered when not in use (costs extra). The number one drawback - with a bullet - is it's a pain to clean properly, especially after cooking anything greasy. You'll want to clean the grease shortly after it congeals, because the grease catch pan is very shallow, and if left in the grill and the grill gets warm again - either from the sun or cooking - that grease will find its way onto your boat when the wind whips. Also, be sure to thread it to the mounting bracket properly. You don't want it leaning to one side while cooking. Oh and hornets absolutely love this thing when it isn't cleaned. Can't vouch for its longterm durability yet, since it's only been a year, but all parts are working as well as when it was new. Happy boat grilling to you.

Came really fast, price was good. Seems well made. It seems to have better flame pattern than the springfield gas grill had.

Great product-used several seasons on boat and the in elevated deck

So I have been watching these grills for a long time and finally decided to pull the trigger this year. It is so nice to be able to grill while out trolling for salmon or waiting for crab pots to soak. I cooked everything from hot dogs to steaks out there this year with great results. Grill cooled mode quickly than I thought and clean up was easy at the end of the day.

Problem 1. Un even flame and heat. No way of turning / adjusting grill grate because it's fixed in place so you have to constantly stab the food to move it from one hot spot to another to get to proper temperature of same sized steaks at the same time. Clean up takes allot of time, you must disassemble, clean and reassemble. what a pain. On a boat it is especially difficult because it's so messy and you can only clean it on your boats' deck. Problem 2. I purchased this thru Amazon, the retailer was WSports. When I contacted the seller WSPORTS for a return/exchange the gas grill for the old style charcoal grill which is much less expensive I was told that I was stuck with this grill because I did not keep the box it came in. They even had the gall to send me there entire return policy which does show, "needs the box for return." Because I purchased this grill to use on my boat, when I received it I assembled it at my marina, it looked good and I should not have any problem with it. (I previously had a Charcoal Magma Grill for 21 years) I didn't want to have the empty box take up space so I recycled it. In conclusion, I now have gone back to "old school" shopping at Main St. retailers who understand and appreciate there customers. I saved a whopping $12. from West Marine's price. Never again from these guys!!!

This stainless steel grill is awesome quality. It is mounted on my boat rail above the swim grid. By taking the gas regulator and attached propane tank, which is a simple quarter twist, there is no risk of it falling off during rough seas. The grill itself is left mounted outdoors and although I recently bought a cover there was no signs of corrosion or dulling from exposure to the elements. The grill top is small but has always been big enough for me and a guest. Highly recommend this product to others.

This magma grill worked very well for my boat. The fire is hot, and the hood kept the wind from affecting the fire. Meat grilled quickily and the grease dripped down the retainer pan at the base. I used a gas canister converted to switch fro propane to disposable butane canisters. It worked perfectly. The gas (open/close) connector is easy to fix to the body. But it felt loose and I am worried it might fall off, even though it never fell off (yet). I probably should use a small chain yo secure it to the body just to be safe. But overall a great buy.. and I love it!
