This fit my cleaver perfectly. Easy to slip on and helps to guard against getting cut when the knife is not in use.

I love it I bought a set of them I needed one more for a meat cleaver. so I got this one Unfortunately I had to return the meat cleaver and now have no need for this one And its nonreturnable I didn't see the no free return (its actually nonreturnable) Amazon said it can't be sent back So I have to eat the Edge Guard It was only $10 so not a big loss But I will always check the return info from now on :0 )

Functions as it should, guards the sharp edge on a 8” vegetable cleaver. Makes it safe to store in a drawer as this knife does not fit in my knife block.

I have only had them for a couple of days so can't comment on their durability. i haven't travelled with them - and do not expect to do so - so cannot comment on that either. However, having purchased them to protect my cleavers (and my fingers) I must say that they fit well and do their job. I am satisfied with my purchase.

Great guard for a clever knife

I had purchased one of those Chinese cleavers that you can find in the Asian or international grocery stores and I had reprofiled it when I sharpened it last but simply kept it in my utensils drawer and found that the cutting edge had gotten dinged up at some point. After getting this cover, my blade is protected and should help maintain the edge. The price point is also good as it does what it needs to without breaking the bank. So far, it seems to hold up well with my sharp blade and feels like it should last a long time if not forever. Recommended.

I have a Mercer 21020 Chinese cleaver, blade is about 8" X 3.25". These come from the maker SHARP. You can shave with it right out of the package and I maintain it at a similar level of sharpness. This is a prep tool for vegetables and boneless meats, not a blunt tool for breaking up bone in meats. The tool won't fit in most knife blocks and is too sharp to leave unprotected in a drawer, this cover is better than wrapping it in a towel or other home made edge protectors I have used, makes it safer to store and should keep the edge from being dammaged.

I just got this, so if anything changes I will edit this. I bought this general sized knife cover for one of my knives I got that is oddly shaped. it sorta fits, which is ok. The inside has protective material to keep it from scratching. My rating is based on I open my knife roll and every time the thing is sorta on, or off. 3 stars is still good, so don't think I am trashing it. It's good.

Good but not great! There are better options out there for less money

Works great! We actually used it to help us with butchering chickens and it was a great knife! It’s great for prepping bones to make bone broth as well!

Does exactly what you want it to do - my 8-inch cleaver slides in easily and is a snug fit. The cover has some kind of soft lining inside which hugs the knife without scratching it. I put the cover on and know I can grab this thing from inside a drawer without removing my fingers. And I have a spare in case something happens to it!

this is exactly what I want. this is not really a pocket, but more like a "clip" (i don't know how to describe it 🤦🏻‍♀️) i had to cut some of the edge off myself, the material is hard enough from cutting through by the blade but sofe enought to trim by a scissor.
