Burlap Fabric Ivory / 58" Wide/Sold by The Yard

I purchased 3 yards of this Burlap Ivory fabric in the color ivory. 3 things to note: 1) the width of this fabric is a longer width of 60 inches rather than what is often offered when purchasing fabric by the yard that is often at 48inches. so, you are getting more than what fabric/yd is typically sold as. if you're comparing fabric from another seller, do check to see the inches or cm of the width. 2)the fabric is going to be easy to make curtains out of which making curtains is the reason I purchased this material. I say its going to be easy because this ivory burlap is malleable with substance. so its neither too tough, thick nor stiff but still has a weight and substance to let it hang well as curtains. I'd imagine it would be good for other type of fabric furniture projects. for example a headboard, or padded bench I think the weight is about 18 ounces. I watched a few youtube curtain making videos and many suggested using an 11 ounce weight of burlap to make it easy to work with but this specific burlap ivory fabric at 18 oz has a malleable substantive fabric which is making it straightforward to make curtains 3)the color is GORGEOUS. its light ivory hue has a high end look to what is often used in farmhouse projects. It feels more Restoration Hardware than Marshalls! looks great, is chic and has a high end shade.

Smell went away . Haven't used yet .

I can't find yellow burlap locally and didn't want to go through the mess of dyeing my own. This burlap is just what I need - close weave and vibrant yellow color. Price point is moderate - not a bargain, but not outrageous. Overall, the quality is good.

I work for a hospital and we host a handful of breast cancer awareness events each October. My boss goes all out for decorating with a limited budget, but realized how cost effective it would be purchase some of material we use in bulk since pink fabric can be hard to come by during October. We made 2 purchases equaling 40 yards. Luckily, the company just combined the order into one large roll. The roll was surprising about the size of a small person. My boss seemed impressed with the quality and tight weave. No smell or any other issues, just a little difficult to lug around since we didn’t realize how much nearly 6,000 square feet of burlap would actually weigh. We didn’t have a specific pink in mind since we use so many pinks but this one turned out great. We mostly used the fabric to wrap the mums we displayed but my boss already had plenty ideas in mind for what to do with the fabric next year. Oh and the company did try to contact me directly due to the color not being initially available, however I was out of town and did not notice the communication, but they still managed to get use everything we needed.

Great for crafts, beautiful color

Burlap has always been one of my favourite fabrics. Love the texture and look. This one is good enough that I've now purchased a second time. If need arises, we'd get a third.

Dont try and make anything with this it frays and seamstress said it was horrible to work with, was trying for cushion covers

This is a very nice burlap. I used for the wreath pictured. The darker burlap is from another seller and frayed quite a bit, even after sprayed with starch prior to cutting. This fabric did not fray as much and felt like a much better quality burlap. My only complaint was the color, I liked the brighter, darker orange of the other fabric better. I also bought it in green. Wish they would have the option to get it precut, that would be so helpful. I would definitely recommend the burlap from this company. Very good value and product. Will definitely be buying again.
