Smiley Shark isn't smiling. He has hiccups and can't get rid of them. In this brightly illustrated and engaging book, Smiley's friends take it in turn to try different tactics to help Smiley get rid of his hiccups. My three year old loved this book and enjoyed the fact that she could recognise and read the word `Hic' along with me. She also learned quite a lot about undersea creatures and asked me in detail about the creatures in the pictures.

This book is full of bright, colourful and exciting illustrations that made my toddler laugh out loud! Smiley Shark has hiccups and the other sea creatures try various strategies to help him get rid of them. My daughter loved the relationship between all the sea creature friends, and asked me 'to read it again, read it again!' - and it will become a firm bedtime favourite in our house.

Smiley Shark and the Great Big Hiccup tells the story of a shark who has lost his smile because he has hiccups and doesn't know how to stop them. His friends all try their hardest to help him stop hiccuping. The illustrations in this story are fab, they are colourful, bright and engaging. My 4yo likes the fact he can read the "hic" as its in big bold letters. His favourite part of the story is when smiley shark is in the dark cave and all his friends jump out and say "boo"! I think girls and boys would both enjoy this story
