Perfect for protecting varicose veins in my ankles
I got these adhesive pads to cover varicose veins in my ankle that tend to (unfortunately) open up on rare occasions. I did not purchase these pads to stem the blood flow (should any veins burst again) but rather to keep the blood from spurting 2 or more feet. I wear an ankle support stocking over the bandage for extra support. I wear the bandage in the shower and have not had it come all the way off. Most of the time it stays on just fine. I change the bandage every day after letting my ankle "breathe" for a couple of hours. I particularly like the fact that the adhesive part is very gentle. This is a big plus for me inasmuch as it does not tug at the skin when taking the pad off which does not aggravate any vein beneath it. This procedure is necessary to give me a tiny peace of mind while waiting for my vascular surgeon appointment, at which time I anticipate some other long-term solution. Meanwhile, these bandages are perfect for what I need. UPDATE: I just wanted to update this because I had an unfortunate result when removing a pad recently. The adhesive literally peeled off a layer of my skin, which is now scabbing over after 3 days. I am always very slow and careful when peeling off adhesive pads and so was very surprised when this happened. I am not blaming the pad for this, but I just wanted to let people know that it is not a good idea to wear a compression stocking over the pad for 20 hours like I did. Plus, the skin on my ankle is very thin where the adhesive was attached so a combination of the two created this rather painful result.

Foam bandage
These foam bandages adhere well to the wound on my abdomen which is located on top of a hernia. The area is not a flat surface so itโs hard for a bandage to cling to the whole wound. These work well.

Essential
Letโs face it, itโs something we all need. I recommend keeping these in the house at all times. Also, they are comfortable and absorbent.Last but not least, even though the price has increased of late, they are still a bargain.

Handy Item for the Home Medical Kit.
Handy item for wound protection that holds up well in the shower when you don't want to change the bandage EVERY day to allow it time to heal. We often use it with Mepilex Ag or Mepilex Transfer on the wound using these to hold that in place.

nice but doesn't last
Because I am a diabetic, I have to do a lot wound care on my feet and legs. This item was a perfect size but unfortunately the bandage falls off after a couple of hours. After three bandage failures I am forced to use them with a wrap.
